Thinking Of You - Hello Bluebird Summer Challenge

Good afternoon friends!  Today I'm sharing a slimline card featuring some adorable images and dies from the latest Hello Bluebird release.  I made this card for the Hello Bluebird Summer Challenge over on Instagram.

My slimline card measures 3.5" x 8.5".  I sponged the base of my card with Twisted Citron, Mowed Lawn, Tumbled Glass, and Broken China Distress Oxide Inks.  I used the Partly Cloudy Slimline Die to the the frame from white cardstock and adhered it to my card front.  I adhered a few of the diecut clouds on the card also.

I stamped images from the Carried Away and Forest Fawns stamp sets, colored them with copics, and diecut them with the coordinating dies.  I used a black glaze pen on the critter's eyes and adhered the images with foam tape.  I heat embossed the sentiment and also adhered it with foam tape.

Copics Used:

Bunnies - E31, E30, E50; R20, R00; E01, E000

Balloons - BV000, Y18, Y15, Y13, Y11; RV55, RV52, RV10

Bird - B05, B02, B000; R20; Y38

I Hope Your Birthday Is Poppin'

Hello crafty friends!  I have a sweet birthday card I made for a sketch challenge on the My Favorite Things Blog

I found some time to play along with the MFTWSC 602 this week!  I stamped these cute images from the Purr-fect Pairs stamp set and colored them with my copics.  I used a black gel pen on their eyes and a white gel pen to add some highlights to the kitties and fish balloons.  I sponged two rectangles with Mowed Lawn, Tumbled Glass, and Broken China distress Oxide Inks.  I spattered the rectangles with water, white gouache, and watercolors paints.  Once dry, I adhered them to my card base.  I stamped one of the fun sentiments and heat-embossed it in white on black cardstock.  I adhered all the images and the sentiment with foam tape.

Copics:

Kitties - C3, C1, C0, C00, R20; E31, E30, E50, R20

Fish - V09, V06, V05, V04, V01; BG09, BG07, BG05, BG02; RV29, RV25, RV23, RV21

Happy Birthday

Good morning and happy Monday!  I hope you had an amazing weekend.  Today I'm sharing a fun shaker card featuring a digital stamp from the LTTS Doodles Etsy Shop

I cut a panel of bristol card that measures 4.25" x 5.5".  I sponged the panel with Antique Linen, Spun Sugar, and Worn Lipstick Distress Oxide Inks and then spattered it with water and white gouache.  I decided to make an edge-to-edge shaker so once I had my acetate adhered on three sides, I added clear sequins and stars and then sealed up the fourth side of the shaker.  I adhered the panel to the front of my card.  I printed the adorable birthday girl from the Lulu Birthday stamp set on Neenah cardstock and colored it with copics.  I used a white gel pen on the hat pompom and a black gel pen on the overall buttons.  I adhered the birthday girl directly to the acetate.  I sponged a strip of bristol with the Worn Lipstick and stamped the sentiment using a stamp from my stash.  I apologize for the glare on the card but I find it so hard to get a good photograph of shaker cards because of the acetate.

Copics:
Hair - E37, E99, E97, YR21
Skin - E13, E11, E21, E00, E000, R20
Clothes/Hat - BG18, BG15, BG13, BG11; RV25, RV23, RV21, RV10; BV000, Y19, Y15, Y13
Cupcake: E44, E43, E42; E33

Thanks so much for stopping by.  Have a wonderful week!

Have A Blast

Happy Sunday crafty friends!  Today I'm sharing a card I made for the sketch challenge over on the MY Favorite Things Blog.

These cute images and sentiment are from the Space Explorer stamp set.  I sponged a panel of bristol card with Picked Raspberry, Peacock Feathers, Twisted Citron, Prize Ribbon, and Chipped Sapphire Distress Oxide Inks.  I spattered the panel with gouache and navy watercolors and then I cut the panel into shapes to follow along with Sketch Challenge 601.  I colored the images with copics, fussy-cut them, and then adhered them with foam tape for dimension.  I heat-embossed the sentiment and also adhered it with foam tape.

Thanks so much for stopping by.  I hope you have a fabulous day!
