The Greeting Farm - Envelope Art

Hello everyone!  Today I'm sharing a project that I posted over on The Greeting Farm Blog.

Marie, the owner of The Greeting Farm, challenged the DT to try out some envelope art.  I've seen some amazing envelopes out in blogland so this was just the push I needed to give it a try.  I used images from three different stamps sets to create my underwater scene:  Make A Splash, Happy To Sea You, and Hands Down.  I started by writing the address on my envelope so I would know where I could stamp the images.  I stamped some of the images and then masked them in order to stamp the images in the background.  I fussy cut masks for all of the images and sponged some Antique Linen and Gathered Twigs distress inks on the bottom of the envelope.  Then I sponged Salty Ocean, Mermaid Lagoon, Peacock Feathers, and Blueprint Sketch to create the ocean.  After my ink sponging was completed, I removed all the masks and colored the images with copics.  Since my envelope wasn't really copic-friendly, I kept my shading to a minimum.  While I'm glad I finally tried some envelope art, I will say it was very time-consuming (mostly because of all the masking) so it's probably not something I will do often lol.

Copics Used:
 Octopus - RV55, RV63
Dolphin - B26, B24, B21
Fish - YR04, YR02
Starfish - Y18, Y15, Y13
Rocks - C3, C1
Seaweed - YG17,YG03, YG01
Coral - RV55, RV63
Treasure Chest - E23, E21

Thanks so much for stopping by!  Have a wonderful day!

Hugs, Anita

Be Happy

Hello everyone!  I just wanted to pop on here and share a really quick and easy card that I made using a few fairies and some pattern paper.

These sweet little fairies are from The Greeting Farm's Fairy Happy stamp set.  I found this fun pattern paper by Doodlebug Design at my LSS and decided to add a few of the little fairies to create a quick and easy card.  I colored the fairies with copics and then diecut them using the coordinating dies.  I used a stitched rectangle die to cut the pattern paper and adhered it to my white cardbase.  Then I simply used foam tape to add the fairies to the flowers.  I added some Glamour Dust to the fairy wings and also added a few sequins for some sparkle.

Thanks so much for stopping by!

Hugs, Anita

Whimsy Stamps Guest Designer - Hugs Bunny

Hello friends, I'm here today with another guest designer card for Whimsy Stamps.

These sweet images are from the Hugs Bunny stamp set.  These stamps could be used for so many different occasions ... I think it would be perfect to make a Father's Day card, which is just around the corner.  But I've used it to make a card that you could send to anyone just to let them know you're thinking of them.  I stamped the bear and bunny on Neenah cardstock and colored them with copics.  I used the Gingham Background stamp to create the pretty pattern on the bottom and then sponged some ink on the top of the card also.  I used a black glaze pen on the bear's and bunny's noses and applied Wink of Stella Clear Glitter Pen on the hearts.

Copics Used:
Bear - E31, E30, E50, R20, R30
Bunny - W2, W1, W0, R20, R30
Hearts - R85, R83, R81

Thanks so much for stopping by!

Guest DT - Sunny Studio Stamps

Good morning everyone!  I've got some fun cards featuring the latest Sunny Studio stamps.  I was so excited when Mendi, the owner of Sunny Studio Stamps, asked me to be a guest designer using her adorable stamps!  I love this latest release and I used three stamps sets to create today’s cards.

I used the Beach Babies stamp set for this card. I also used the palm tree from the Island Getaway stamp set. I colored all the images with Copics and then die cut them using the coordinating dies. I sponged distress inks onto Strathmore paper to create the “sand” and the “ocean waves”. I die cut a large circle in my card front and used a stencil and distress inks to create the clouds behind the waves. I used foam tape to adhere the card front on to my card base, and I used foam tape to adhere all the beach babies and accessories.

I also used the Beach Babies stamp set for this card. The colorful pattern paper is from the Rainbow Bright 6x6 Paper. This paper pack is so fun – it’s full of bright patterns. I cut the sentiment tab from paper from the Silly Stripes 6x6 Paper. I colored the boy and his jet ski with Copics and then die cut him using the coordinating dies. I used distress inks to create a wave, and I used distress inks and a stencil to create sun rays on a die cut circle. I adhered the boy with foam tape to add some dimension to my card.

I used the Happy Camper stamp to make this card and went for a night scene.  I colored the camper with Copics and die cut it using the coordinating die. I sponged distress inks on Strathmore paper to create the grassy area, night sky, and the moon. I also die cut the pine trees from the inked paper. I flicked some white acrylic paint on the sky and assembled my card with foam tape. I used white embossing powder and heat-embossed the sentiment.

I used the Happy Camper stamp on this card. The sweet heart pattern paper is from the Rainbow Bright 6x6 Paper. The “grass” was cut from paper from the Striped Silly 6x6 Paper and the sun was cut using paper from the Polka-dot Parade 6x6 Paper. I colored the camper with Copics and die cut it using the coordinating dies. I used distress inks to stencil some clouds onto a die cut circle and adhered the grass. I used foam tape to adhere the camper, sun and sentiment strip. I would love to have a camper just like this one … it would be so much fun!

For my last card I used the Critter Campout stamp set. I colored the skunk, campfire, fox, and tent with Copics and die cut them using the coordinating dies. I used distress inks on Strathmore paper to create the evening sky, grassy area, and lake. The little pine trees were also cut from the inked paper. I added some water drops to the sky.

I hope you’ve enjoyed my cards and that I’ve inspired you to go get your fingers all inky!  Be sure to stop by the Sunny Studio Stamps Shop to check out all of the adorable stamps, dies, and other supplies!
I want to thank Mendi for having me as a guest!

Thanks for stopping by!
