Hazel and Nutty

Happy Friday sweet friends.  I hope you've had a great week.  We had blizzard conditions come through my area on Wednesday.  The snow was gorgeous ... especially since I didn't have to go out in it!  I stayed inside and got some coloring done ;)

Today I'm sharing a card using Hazel and Nutty.  This stamp is temporarily out of stock but I'm sure Karen will have it restocked soon over at Funky Kits.  This image is available as a digi here or there are lots of other beautiful fairies in stock here.  I colored these cute friends with copics and colored pencils and used lots of Glamour Dust.  As you know, I like my fairies to sparkle!  Some diecut flowers, pearls, and swirls were added to finish my card.  The paper is Winterings by Little Yellow Bicycle - I love the colors in this collection.

Be Merry

Well, it's Monday, what more can I say lol?  I hope you had a fun weekend.  It's not long now till Christmas ... are you ready?  I've got a couple more Christmas cards I'm working on.  I actually have enough for this year so I guess I'm getting a good start on next year's cards.  I have so many Christmas images I had hoped to get colored before the holidays and it looks like I'm not going to get to all of them.  I know most people are tired of making Christmas cards already ... but not me.  They are some of my most favorites to work on ;)

This sweet image is "a la modes Candy Cane Kisses" by My Favorite Things.  I don't see her on their website so I think she may have been discontinued.  I have had this stamp set for quite awhile and couldn't let another year pass without getting her inky!  She's colored with copics and colored pencils and I used Glamour Dust on her candy cane for a touch of sparkle.  MFT holds a sketch challenge on Splitcoast Stampers each week and I finally was able to play along.  You can find all challenge details here.

Thank you so much for stopping by.  Enjoy your day!

Best Friends

It's finally Friday!  Yay!  This has been a very long and busy week for me and I'm really looking forward to relaxing this weekend.  All my shopping is done and I only have a few more gifts to wrap.  I'm usually finishing up my wrapping on Christmas Eve so I'm way ahead of the game this year.  Of course it didn't hurt that I let dear hubby do lots of the wrapping :-)

So my card today isn't a Christmas card ... I know, can you believe it?  It felt so weird not to be reaching for some Christmas dp lol!  I've had this cute little image for awhile now and I finally decided to get him inky.  This stamp is Worried and you can find it at Funky Kits.  I colored them with copics and colored pencils.  If you follow my blog then you know I have a really hard time choosing embellishments for male cards.  I think I'm always afraid I'm going to make them too 'girly' lol!  So I opted for a few buttons and a diecut in the corner.  A clean and simple look that lets the image be the focus.

Thank you for stopping by.  I hope you have a fabulous day and a wonderful weekend!

Hugs, Anita

Treat Bag

Hello sweet friends.  I was shopping in my local Target store a few weeks ago and ran across some Christmas treat bags in their $1 spot.  Sometimes I can find some of the cutest things to alter in their $1 spot!

I've had this adorable little angel from the CC Designs Meoples Nativity set colored for a few weeks ... she's been sitting patiently on my desk waiting for me to attach her to a card.  But she was the perfect size for this bag and so I used her on this sweet candy bag!  She's colored with copics and colored pencils and I used lots of Glamour Dust on her wings.  I cut her out with a nestability and adhered her to the top of the bag.  A perfect little gift for a special friend ;)

Be sure to stop by the All That Scraps Blog to see what some of the dt members have created this week.

Hello sweet friends.  I hope you had a wonderful weekend.  Are you ready for Christmas?  I only have a few small items to pick up and then I'm done ... yeah!  I plan on finishing up tomorrow so I won't have to fight the mad crowd this weekend!

Well, some of my nieces and nephews are way past the age of me being able to pick out a gift that they would actually like lol!  So I find myself needing several gift card holders for the holidays and today I've whipped up a quick and easy one to share with you.

This cute image is CC Designs Latte Monkey and you can find him over in the All That Scraps shop.  I needed a gift card holder for a local coffee shop so I thought this adorable monkey would be the perfect image.  He's colored with copics and colored pencils.  I've written a tutorial for this holder and you can find it on the All That Scraps Blog.

Our new challenge is "winter" so I have used this cute snowman from the By LORI Designs shop for my card.  He's colored with copics and colored pencils and I've added a bit of Glamour Dust to give him some sparkle.  There's Glossy Accents on his carrot nose and black glaze pen on his coal buttons.  I also added some tiny Liquid Pearl dots around this cutie.  The sentiment is from the Christmas Sentiments set.  There are so many cute sentiments in this set!  My layout is from the Sweet Sunday Sketch Challenge 173

Please be sure you stop by the By LORI Design Challenge Blog to see what the rest of the dt has created.  I hope you find some time to play along in our challenge.  You don't have to use a BLD image but we would love it if you did.

Thank you so much for stopping by!

Hugs, Anita

December Krafty Peeks ... Day One!

( ** Please scroll down for my ATS December Preview ** )

Wow, I can't believe it's almost the end of the year!  I'm a Krafty Guest this month over at Kraftin' Kimmie and they've got lots of amazing stuff for their last release of 2012.  Get ready for the DECEMBER 2012 RELEASE!

We are kicking off the "new" DECEMBER Kraftin' Kimmie Stamps previews today and first off, we want to introduce you to a beautiful new set of Trinkets!  We are so excited to share with you the gorgeous ... CIRCUS TRINKETS!

What a fun set of awesome new stamps ... and I don't suppose it's going to be too hard to figure out what theme one of the artists worked with this month, huh?  These circular sentiments stamps have been created and designed by the totally talented Krafty Girl, Nicole Aspinall!  They are made especially to fit in your 1 3/8" and 1 1/4" punches for quick and easy cutting.  This month Kraftin' Kimmie is releasing the CIRCUS Trinkets set which includes eight trinkets!  The Krafty Girls have found these trinkets to be a quick and easy way to add a sentiment to their creations or to use as the focal point of their cards.  They are also perfect for your Squash and Scrapbook pages, not to mention altered items and tags!

Here's my card using one of the new Circus Trinkets!  These trinkets are so much fun and work perfectly for cards that you may need in a hurry.  I cut my trinket out and then made a rosette to mount it on.  My papers are Midway by October Afternoon and one of sheets of the dp includes lots of circus tickets.  So I just cut out a few of the tickets and added them to my card ... easy peasy!

All That Scraps December Previews - Day 3

Hello friends.  We're continuing to show sneak peeks of the fabulous new December release at All That Scraps.  Today we're featuring the Sweet November stamps by Amy Young and I'm sharing ...

Love Birds

Aww, isn't this image just the sweetest?  I love these two little birdies.  This stamp would be perfect for so many occasions - Valentines, anniversary, engagement.  I colored the love birds with copics and colored pencils and used some Glossy Accents on their beaks and feet.  The heart was cut with a Nestability and the cloud paper behind the heart is by Bella Blvd.  The beautiful sentiment is from the Love Always Sentiments by AmyR Stamps.  All the new product will be available Thursday, December 6 at 9:00 pm EST.

Be sure to stop by the All That Scraps Blog to see what the rest of the dt is sharing today.

Candy Cane Jane

Good afternoon sweet friends!  I have some fun news to share today.  Lori Boyd (yes, THE Lori Boyd of By LORI Designs) invited me to be on her DT!  Well, I love her cute, adorable images so of course I said YES!

This sweet image is one of Lori's newest designs, Candy Cane Jane.  She's colored with copics and colored pencils.  I paired her with some of my newest papers by Lilybee Design.  I added some snowflakes and a bell.  The sentiment is from the Christmas Sentiments set.  Be sure to stop by the BLD Blog to see what the rest of the DT is sharing today.

Thank you so much for stopping by!
