Christmas Puppets

Happy Friday friends!  Do you have special plans for this weekend?  I have a ton of stuff I hope to get done.  I freak out every time I think about Christmas being only a few weeks away.  How can that be?  Shouldn't it still be like ... October?  Well, I can say I'm way ahead on my Christmas cards this year and I have another one to share today.

This sweet little image is Christmas Puppets, one of the newer digis available over at Funky Kits.  He's colored with copics and colored pencils and I've used just a touch of Glamour Dust for some sparkle.  I added a sparkly berry spray, bow, and a jinglebell.  This card is definitely bulky but I plan on giving it to either my grandson or nephew so it won't have to go through the mail ;-D

Thank you so much for stopping by and I hope you have a wonderful weekend!

Hugs, Anita

Polished To Perfection

Hello friends.  I hope you're having a great week so far.  Today I'm sharing a card I made for the My Favorite Things December Guest Designer Contest.

This image is a la modes Polished To Perfection - I love the a la modes girls!  I colored the image with copics and colored pencils and added Glamour Dust Ultra Fine Glitter Paint to the nail polish to give it some sparkle.  I made the flower with the My Favorite Things Die-namics Rolled Flower Die and added a pearl to the center.  The sentiment is stamped on one of the My Favorite Things Sentiment Strips Dies.

This is the sketch you need to follow to enter the contest.  You can find all the details here.  Be sure to check it out because there's still lots of time to enter!

You Put A Song In My Heart

Happy Wednesday to all of you.  We've made it halfway to the weekend - yay!  Now that the holidays are approaching time seems to be flying by.  Does it seem that way for you too?  Today we're sharing some new projects over on the All That Scraps Blog.

I used one of the birdhouses from the fabulous CC Designs Sugarplums Birdie Day stamp set, and colored it with my copics and colored pencils.  The sweet sentiment comes with the stamp set.  I used the CC Designs Cutters Music Border Die to add the strip of musical notes.  Some twine and a button finished my card.  My papers are by Doodlebug Designs - fun designs in this collection.  Be sure to stop by the All That Scraps Blog to see what the rest of the DT has created.  I know you'll find lots of inspiration there!

Thank you for stopping by and have a wonderful day.

Hugs, Anita

A Chubby Little Snowman

Hello friends.  I hope you had a wonderful weekend.  Did you brave the crowds for the Black Friday sales?  I took advantage of some of the sales that were online.  No crowds and I found lots of fabulous places to spend my money ;)

Today I have another card using the Warm Hearts stamp set by Paper Smooches.  I love this set.  It's great for making some fast and easy Christmas cards.  I colored the snowman and trees with copics and colored pencils and added some Glamour Dust for sparkle.  A bow and some blue gems finish off my card.  The bow isn't bulky so I think this card can be mailed without having to pay for extra postage - yay!  The yummy paper I used is by Lilybeedesign and I love this pad.

Thank you for stopping by.  Have a great day and try to stay warm!

Snowflake Lizzie

Hello sweet friends.  Today is my last project as November's Guest Artist for Whimsie Doodles.  I want to thank the WD team for letting me join them for the past few weeks.  And thanks also to Melyssa for designing such cute and adorable images - they were a blast to play with :-D

Today's card features Snowflake Lizzie and I fell in love with her the minute I saw her!  In case you haven't noticed, I love snowflakes and snowmen.  Well, I don't love them IRL cause they're cold and I don't like cold weather (which is a problem since I love in Ohio lol).  But I do love them on cards ... and I do love to make them sparkle!  I colored Lizzie with copics and colored pencils and then loaded her wings and snowflake with Glamour Dust.  I added a bow and then tied on a silver bell with some floss.

Thank you so much for stopping by!

Happy Holidays

Happy Friday to all of you!  So did any of you hit the stores bright and early for the 'Black Friday' sales?  I did it a few years ago but not anymore.  The lines are way too long and some of the people are really mean and pushy.  I have family and friends that look forward to this day every year ... what can I say?  They're crazy lol!

Today I'm sharing a card made with one of the older images available over at Funky Kits.  We get so many new stamps from companies that we sometimes forget about the older ones, right?  So I decided to give this little cutie some inky love.  This image is Annie With Star and she's from the Leanne Ellis Designs collection.  She's colored with copics and colored pencils and I used Glamour Dust on her wings and star wand.  The border edge punch is a Martha Stewart punch.  I added some ribbon with a bow, and a couple of pearls.  My yummy papers are Authentique - love the patterns and traditional Christmas colors in this pad.

Thank you for stopping by.  I hope you have a wonderful weekend.

Hello friends and Happy Thanksgiving to those of you that live here in the States.  A while back I won a challenge over on the Kraftin' Kimmie Blog and this yummy stamp was the prize!

This little cutie is Grace and I think she's so pretty with her tray of gingerbread cookies!  I colored her with copics and colored pencils and followed the sketch that is this week's Kraftin' Kimmie Challenge.  I used some seam binding and then added a gingerbread button to my bow.  And isn't that sentiment perfect for this image?

I hope you're having a sweet holiday and spending time with your loved ones!  Thank you for stopping by.

I used Sweet November Beth and colored her with copics and colored pencils.  I used just a little touch of glitter on the stocking and made the tree using the CC Cutters Christmas Tree Die.  I used Spellbinder's Nestabilities to make the round card and then added a little bow.  Be sure to stop by the All That Scraps Blog to see what the rest of the team is sharing today.

Clean and Simple

Hello again friends.  This is my second post for the day.  If you would like to see my "Cute as a Pumpkin" card, please scroll down.

If you visit me often then you know I'm a big fan of Cheryl Alger's digi images.  Well, she released some new images a few days ago and of course I couldn't resist, so I took a little shopping trip over to her shop and this was one of the new cuties I picked up.

OMGosh, just look at her face!  That is one HUGE ornament and it looks like she's really struggling with it, doesn't it?  This adorable image is Sassy Sally's Bauble Trouble and I colored her with copics and colored pencils.  I used some Glamour Dust on her hat and then completely covered that big ornament with it too.  This picture really doesn't do it justice because IRL there is some MAJOR sparkle going on here folks!  Well, with all that glitter and since the image is fairly large, I didn't want to add a bunch of embellishments so decided to go with CAS.  OK, I'm thinking it may be too plain and maybe I should have added something ... ?  I'll probably give it to my daughter and even though it's 'naked' she'll love it cause it's from me :-D

Thank you for stopping by.

Hugs, Anita

Cute As A Pumpkin

Hello everyone.  I picked up this cute little digi the other day and wanted to make sure I used it before the fall season was over.

This image is Henry & Sam and you can find it in the by LORI designs shop.  Aren't these little boys just the cutest?  Yes, there are 2 boys - see the little one peeking out from behind the pumpkin?  I colored them with copics and colored pencils and kept my embellishments very simple.  I never seem to know what to add to male cards, so it usually just ends up being buttons or twine lol!  The sentiment is one I picked up years ago, probably in the $1 bin at Michaels.  OK, while you're over in Lori's shop be sure to check out the new Christmas digis.  OMGosh, they are just too cute.  I feel another shopping trip creeping up on me :)

Thanks for stopping by.  Have a wonderful day!

You Make My Heart Melt

Hello friends.  Recently a new shop, The Paper Cottage, opened in my area.  The owner, Brenda, has been a scrapper and cardmaker for years and finally decided to open her own shop!  Anyhow, Brenda carries the adorable Paper Smooches stamps and I made some samples for her shop.

I used the Warm Hearts stamp set for this card.  As you can see, this cute little frosty fella requires minimal coloring so it's a fast and easy card.  I did add some Glamour Dust to the snowman and the snowflake cause you know I love my sparkle!  The sentiment is part of the stamp set too.  The paper is Winter Fun by Carta Bella - love the patterns and the blue/brown colors.  I used My Favorite Things Dienamics - Fishtail Flags Layers Stax to cut the banner.

Just so you know, The Paper Cottage, is having a Holiday Open House on Saturday, November 24.  There will be snacks, holiday ideas, and some special discounts that day.  If you are in the area, be sure to stop by - I know you'll love the shop.  Brenda will be celebrating her birthday that day, so be sure to tell her Happy Birthday!

Thank you for stopping by.  Have a wonderful weekend and stay warm :-D

Squirrel Delivery Service

Woo-hoo, happy Friday friends!  Are you ready for the weekend?  I am!  Are you tired of seeing Christmas cards?  Gee, I hope not :-D

This little cutie is a digi called Squirrel Delivery Service and you can find it over at Funky Kits.  I colored the image with my copics and colored pencils and added lots of Glamour Dust.  You know I love my sparkle!  The papers are from the Believe Collection by Bazzill and I love this kraft & red combo with just a few white snowflakes peeking out.  I added a bow with an ornament charm, snowflakes, and a few pearls.  My Christmas card stack is really growing.  I think I may end up having more than I need this year - that's never happened!

Thank you for stopping by.  I hope you have a fun weekend ahead.

A Special Preview for All That Scraps

Hello friends!  Today I'm previewing a card using a new release from All That Scraps.

This card features the new set Birdie Day.  I know you're going to love this set - there are birds, birdhouses, a birdbath, a tree, and lots of really cute sentiments to go along with the images.  We also have a new CC Cutter die that includes a tree, Chickadees, birds, clouds, and leaves.  There are endless possibilities with this set! I started my card by stenciling clouds on the Neenah cardstock.  I colored the bird and birdhouse with copics and colored pencils. I cut the fence using the CC Cutter - Four Season Fence Die and then stamped it with the CC Designs Woodgrain stamp.  I applied crackle paint and glitter to the diecut tree, birdhouse, and fence.  Then I perched one of the chickadees in a tree branch and added a sentiment.

Be sure to stop by the All That Scraps Blog to see what the rest of the team made with this new release.  I know you'll find something inspiring over there :)

A Sweet Thank You

Hello friends.  I hope you're enjoying your weekend.  We're having some beautiful (warmer) weather and I'm really enjoying it.

I needed to make a thank you card so I decided to color this little cutie, Rylee Puddle Jumper - isn't she a sweetie?  You can find this digi over in Lori's shop here.  Rylee was really fast and easy to color so I was able to make up this card in no time.  She's colored with copics and colored pencils and I used a little bit of Glamour Dust on her hairbows and blouse.  I used the My Favorite Things Fishtail Flags die and added a few buttons.

This cutie is Gingerbread Cookies, a digi that's available at Funky Kits.  I colored her with copics and colored pencils and sprinkled on lots of Glamour Dust.  I found a little package of gingerbread buttons and thought one would be perfect for this card.  A bow and some pearls finished off my card.

Snowman Tags

Hello sweet friends.  Do you love snowmen?  I do so I made some snowmen tags to dress up the Christmas gifts  this year.

I used the Meoples Dress Up Snowmen Stamps for these tags.  I stamped the snowmen on Neenah cardstock and then cut them out using the CC Designs Cutter Snowman Outline Die.  The die has guide holes so that makes it super easy to line up your stamped snowmen and you get a perfect cut every time.  Then I stamped the hats, scarves, and shirt on scrap pieces of dp and fussy cut them.  I cut my tags out of kraft paper with a Sizzie die, but you can always purchase blank tags or cut your own tags if you don't have a die.  I added some seam binding, button twine, jinglebells and a small sentiment and my tags are ready to be used.  I adore snowmen and these tags were so quick and easy to make.  I know I'll be making lots more of these this year.

We've got more "anything but a card" projects over on the All That Scraps Blog so be sure you hop over and have a look.  I'm sure you'll find something that inspires you :-D

Being Together

Happy Friday to all of you!  Are you as happy to see the weekend as I am?  Geez, I thought it would never get here.  It's been a crazy week for me and I'm hoping for a more relaxing weekend.  Anyway, I have a card to share using one of the newest Sugar Nellie digi images.

This cute boy with his little puppy is Letter to Santa.  My grandson just got a new puppy a couple of months ago so this is the Christmas card I'm giving him.  He absolutely loves animals so I'm sure he'll love this card.  I used copics and colored pencils to color the image and then used Glamour Dust on the hat and snow.  The sentiment is Warm Winter Wishes by Crafty Impressions and you can find them at Funky Kits.

Thank you so much for stopping by.  Have a great weekend!

Hugs, Anita

A Spectacular November Release at The Greeting Farm

Hello everyone!  We are pumped for the NEW November releases available right now at The Greeting Farm and rest assured it is more TREAT than trick today!

You've seen the previews, and we are so glad that you're all sharing in the excitement as we move into November with FIVE new "must haves" in your TGF collection!  From the LARGER than life "Anya Styles", a bean who Twinkles more than stars, two VERY fabulous (or, is it vamptabulous?) Creepers in our crew and a festive Holiday Anya 2, there's something for EVERYONE ... and they're all in the TGF Store waiting for you!

You know that it wouldn't be a party if we didn't have a BLOG HOP with a BIG prize, right?  This blog hop is special to us too, because it marks our last hop as a current Premiere team.  So before I share my cards I just want to thank Marie & Jessica for inviting me to be a part of their team for the last 6 months.  And thanks to the rest of the team for being ... well, such awesome teammates!

I've got four cards to share from the fabulous November release:

This card features the adorable Twinkle Bean.  What's not to love about this sweet image?  And you KNOW you want her lol!

My next card features sweet Holiday Anya 2 - she's perfect for so many occasions, not just Christmas.

And of course we can't forget about the lovely new member of the Creeper Crew ... Sadie

And last, but certainly not least, the hot new dude in town ... James.

OK, so on with the NEW!  Here's the list you've been waiting for ... will YOU be the lucky one who walks away with ALL FIVE RELEASES?  You have until 11:30 pm CST tonight to enter and FIND OUT tomorrow!

Rachel
