This little sweetie is A Cherry On Top and doesn't that cupcake look yummy?  I have had this stamp for quite awhile and this is the first time it's seen ink.  I just need a few more hours in each day, how about you?  Of course I used my copics and colored pencils and added a bit of Glamour Dust to the cherry.  A doily, bow, and some pearls finished my card.  You can find this stamp over at Funky Kits and it's on sale right now too ... yay!  OK, now I'm off to look for something sweet to eat lol.

Thought You Could Use A Lift

Good morning everyone.  I hope you're all having a fabulous week so far.  I have just recently discovered a stamp company with some of the cutest images.

This adorable image is Fumi with Turtle and you can find her over in the Yumi and Fumi Handmade shop.  Isn't she a cutie?  She's one of their latest releases and I just had to have her.  I colored her with copics and colored pencils and used some stickles on the turtle's flower.  They also have challenge on their blog and they want to see cards with multiple folds, so I made a gatefold card.  The sentiment inside the card is by Inky Antics ... I thought it was perfect for this image.

Thank you so much for stopping by.

I Dig Potted Plants

Happy Monday to all of you!  Today I'm sharing a project I made for a "Make It Monday" post over on the All That Scraps Blog.

This is a lunch bag card.  Yes, that's right ... it's made using one of the standard brown paper lunch bags.  The kind you get at the grocery store that come 50 or 100 in a package for just a couple of dollars.  These lunch bag cards have been around awhile but if you're fairly new to paper crafting then you may not have seen them before.

Here are the supplies you will need:  paper cutter; brown paper lunch bag (mine measures 5 1/4" x 10 3/4"); adhesive; cardstock and 3 coordinating designer papers; small circle punch or Nestablities (optional); twine or ribbon (optional); your choice of stamps and diecuts for embellishing

Fold the bottom of the lunch bag at 3 1/2" and cut 2" from the top (opening) of the bag.  The bag now measures about 5 1/8" x 5 1/8".

Cut the three pieces of cardstock to measure 5 1/8" x 5 1/8", 5 1/8" x 3 1/2", and 4 3/4" x 4 3/4".  Cut the designer paper to measure 5" x 5", 5" x 3 3/8", and 4 5/8" x 4 5/8".  Keep in mind that the bag sizes may vary so you may need to adjust the sizes of your cardstock and dp.

Adhere the designer paper to the cardstock.  Adhere the paper to the front of the "pocket" and to the front of the lunch bag.  You can use a circle punch or nestabilities to cut a notch in the top of the bag.

Apply adhesive to the edges of the inside of the pocket and then adhere the pocket to the lunch bag.

Decorate the 4 5/8" x 4 5/8" panel as you wish.  I stamped a sentiment from the CC Designs Webbie's Words Spring With A Side Of Chocolate rubber stamps and added a butterfly that I cut using the CC Designs Cutters Butterfly Border Die.  I left space below the sentiment to add a special message to the person I'm giving this card to.  This panel slips into the back pocket of the lunch bag.  This pocket is fairy big so you would have plenty of room to include a little gift if you wanted to.

I decorated the front of the card using this sweet little CC Designs Swiss Pixie Potted Lucy rubber stamp.  She's colored with copics and colored pencils and popped up and matted using my nestabilities.  I used the CC Designs Four Seasons Fence Die and stamped it with my CC Designs Woodgrain rubber stamp.  I also added some greenery using my CC Designs Cutters Olive Branch Die and another butterfly from the butterfly border die.

I inserted some flower seed packets in the front pocket and now this card is ready to be given to a special person.

I hope you enjoyed this little tutorial.  Thank you for stopping by!

Hugs, Anita

A Sassy Birthday Card

Hello friends.  Well, the weekend is almost over and I finally found some time today to finish a birthday card.

This sweet little digi is Have You Heard and you can find her over in the Sassy Cheryl's Stamps shop.  I've had this cutie colored for over a week and just never seemed to find the time to make her into a card.  Every one that knows me knows that I love Cheryl's images so I'm very happy I was able to sit down and play with this adorable "Sally" today :)  I colored her with copics and colored pencils and used some Glossy Accents on the little ladybugs that are visiting her.  The challenge this week over on the Sassy Cheryl's Challenge Blog is a sketch so that's what I followed for my card layout.  And did you know that Cheryl now offers her adorable images in rubber too?  Yes!  I happen to love both rubber and digis but for those of you that only want rubber ... well, you need to check out her shop here

TGF's Farm Fresh Friday

Happy Friday to all of you!  We have a new Farm Fresh Friday Challenge over on the Greeting Farm Blog.  It was our lovely Rosemary's turn to pick the theme and she wants to see something that's recycled or altered.

I found this pink and black wood box on the clearance shelf at Hobby Lobby quite awhile back and picked it up planning to do something with it.  Well, I decided it would make a perfect keepsake box for a little girl's room.  The image I used is TGF's Snuggle, and unfortunately she's been retired and is no longer available.  But there are tons of other adorable stamps over in the TGF shop here.  I colored her with copics and colored pencils and then cut her out with nestabilities.  I added a doily and some matching ribbon to finish the box.

Here's a photo of the top of the box.  Be sure to stop by the Greeting Farm Blog to see what the rest of this talented team is sharing today.  I hope you find some time to recyle/alter something and play along in our FFF Challenge this week.

Thank you for stopping by.

Inspiration Tuesday at BLD

( ** Please scroll down for my TGF Post ** )

Hello again friends!  Today is Inspiration Day over on the By LORi Designs Blog.

I used this sweet Puddle Jumper Ben on my card today.  He's colored with copics and colored pencils.  There's not a lot of embellishments because I'm usually at a loss on what to use on male cards other than buttons and/or twine lol!  I did use my hexagon die to cut out a strip of hexagons along the bottom of the card.  It's been a little while since I've sent my grandson one of my cards so I'll be mailing this one to him.  He loves receiving his own mail, especially a card from his "Meema".  Be sure to stop by the By LORi Designs Blog to see what the rest of this talented team is sharing today.  And don't forget, you can find all of Lori's adorable images in her shop here.

Dream

Happy Tuesday to all of you.  We have a new Double Take Tuesday Challenge starting today over on the Greeting Farm Blog.  Our lovely Suzanne has provided a sketch for the challenge this week.

I used this sweet limited-edition Hatter Bean to make my card for this sketch.  She's colored with copics and colored pencils and I used a little bit of Glamour Dust and Liquid Pearls on the flowers on her hat.  And just a reminder - this is a limited edition stamp so if you've been wanting any of the Beans released in April be sure to get them before the month ends :)  The sentiment is a Tim Holtz ticket and I added some ribbon with a bow.  Be sure to stop by the Greeting Farm Blog to see what everyone else has created with this sketch.  I hope you find some time to get your fingers inky and play along with us this week :)

Birthday Wishes

Happy Sunday friends!  I hope you're enjoying your weekend.  We're having lots of sunshine today so I'm enjoying it while it lasts!

I used one of the new Bags of Fashion stamps from Funky Kits today.  This little sweetie is Morgan and I've colored her with copics and colored pencils.  I love her big eyes and gorgeous hair.  I used some of my older My Mind's Eye papers with lots of orange today.  Orange isn't really a color I work with very often.  I love orange but I don't seem to use it much.  But I think after a couple of cold, rainy days this bright color was calling out to me lol.  Not a lot of embellishments on this card ... just some ribbon, punched flowers and pearls.

Thanks for stopping by.  I hope you enjoy the rest of your weekend!

Feeling Blue?

Happy Thursday to all of you!  I have a very CAS card to share today.  This card was so much fun to make and took very little time.  It usually takes me quite a bit of time to make a card from start to finish ... so I love it when I'm able to make one quickly :)

I used some watercolor paper and stamped my sentiment with StazOn ink so that it wouldn't smear.  Then I added streaks of color using my distress inks.  I colored this sweet little Ella - Three digi with copics and colored pencils.  I used some Glamour Dust on her barrettes and the flower on her dress, then I fussy cut her and used pop-up dots to adhere her to the card.  You can find this adorable digi and lots of other cuties over in the By LORi Designs shop.  I thought this sentiment worked perfectly on this card.  Well, if I were feeling blue, I think this card would cheer me up ... how about you?

Thanks for stopping by!  I hope you have a bright and colorful day!

A Retro-Fresh Challenge at TGF

Hello sweet friends.  We're starting a new challenge today over on the Greeting Farm Blog.  For TGF's retro-fresh challenge, you must use a stamp that is 6 months or older and follow the theme.  I selected the theme this month and I chose "polka dots and/or plaids" ... pretty easy, right?

I used Anya Celebrates and colored her with copics and colored pencils.  Then I added a bit of Glamour Dust to her hair barrette and the heart on the package bow.  I used a hexagon die to cut out polka dot and plaid shapes and glued those along the bottom of my card.  The sentiment is included with this gorgeous Anya stamp!  Be sure to stop by the Greeting Farm Blog to see the rest of the team's polka dot and/or plaid projects.  This challenge is open for an entire month so I hope you play along.  There's a fabulous prize for a random winner and you can read all about it when you visit TGF's blog!

You Make Life Sweet

( ** Please scroll down for my Greeting Farm post ** )

Hello again sweet friends.  Today is Inspiration Tuesday over on the By LORi Designs Blog.

I'm using the adorable Puddle Jumper Maxie, which you can find here.  I colored Maxie with copics and colored pencils and added some Glamour Dust to her hair barrette and the flower on her dress.  I made a small pocket from a scrap piece of brown paper bag and decorated it with buttons and lace, then stamped the sentiment.  Then I made a little tag with a bow to insert in the pocket.  I thought it would be nice to write a personal message on the little tag ;)  The paper is from my scrap pile and I've had it forever.  I love the soft, muted colors and I'm pretty sure it's from The Girls Paperie.  Be sure to stop by the By LORi Designs Blog to see what they're sharing today ... you're going to love their projects!

I used the newly released limited-edition Cheshire Bean for my card today.  She's colored with copics and colored pencils.  I fussy cut her and popped her up on some foam dots.  A friend's sister crocheted some hearts for me (such a sweetie!) so I used one of the hearts and a few buttons for my embellishments.  Be sure to stop by the Greeting Farm Blog to see what the rest of this amazing DT is sharing today.

This beautiful stamp is Easter Marci and you can find her over at LaLa Land Crafts.  I had planned to use this cutie on an Easter card for my daughter but didn't get the card finished in time.  Well, I was on facebook the other day and saw that LaLa Land Crafts was having a contest for "spring easel cards" so I thought I would finish my card and enter their contest.  I colored her with copics and colored pencils.  I used the CC Designs Cutters Four Seasons Fence Die and then added some flourishes and punched flowers.  I added a little pearl to each flower.  The sentiment is from the CC Designs Eggstra Special Sentiments by AmyR stamp set, and I added a few pearls below the sentiment.

Today I'm sharing Sweet November Fairwee Josie's Brella.  I think these little Fairwee images are so adorable!  I colored her with copics and colored pencils and used Glossy Accents on the raindrop.  I also added some Liquid Pearls to the flower.  I stamped my sentiment on one of our new CC Designs Cutters Scrolling Banner Dies.  Be sure to stop by the All That Scraps Blog to see more projects featuring these sweet little Fairwee images.

Thanks for stopping by.  I hope to see you tomorrow as we're having a Blog Hop to celebrate CC Designs' 6th Birthday!!!

Hugs, Anita

Hello once again!  On the By LORi Designs Blog we're sharing some new cards for BLD Inspiration Tuesday!

This little cutie is Easter Todd.  Although Easter is over I wanted to share the card I made for my grandson.  He's colored with copics and colored pencils and I've diecut the eggs using the CC Designs Cutters Eggs Die.  The sentiment is from Lori's Easter Sentiments set.  Be sure to stop by the By LORi Designs Blog to see what the rest of this amazing team has created this week!

Thanks so much for stopping by!

You're The Best!

Happy Tuesday to all of you!  We start a new Double Take Tuesday Challenge over on the Greeting Farm Blog today.  It was our lovely Joni's turn to pick the challenge and she has come up with a fabulous sketch for us!

I used the adorable Hatter Bean on my card today.  I love her outfit and hat and they were so much fun to color!  Of course I used my copics and colored pencils and then added some Liquid Pearls and Star Dust Stickles to the flowers.  I also used stickles on the "lacey" parts of her outfit for a bit of sparkle.  This paper is by Basic Grey and I've had it forever.  I don't know why but it always feels good to use some of my older papers.  I guess it makes me feel less guilty about all the new 6x6 pads I bring home lol!  OK, be sure to stop by the Greeting Farm Blog to see what my amazing teammates have created with this sketch and while you're over there you can get the details on entering the challenge and the candy you could possibly win ... yay!

Thanks for stopping by.

Hugs, Anita
