Farm Fresh Friday Challenge

Happy Friday everyone!  If you celebrated Thanksgiving yesterday, did you eat way too much?  I know I did but everything was so yummy it was hard to say no :)  Anyway, I hope you had a wonderful day enjoying family, friends, and good food!  Today starts a new Farm Fresh Friday Challenge over on the Greeting Farm Blog.  It was our lovely Joni's turn to choose a theme and she chose a color challenge.  She wants to see baby blue, silver, and white.

I used this sweet Oliver from the OA - Valentine stamp set.  Isn't he a cutie?  Of course he's colored with copics and colored pencils.  I know I have silver dp somewhere in my stash but could I find it ... of course not!  So out came the silver brads.  Geez, I still have tons of brads and seldom think of using them anymore.  My card looked very "blah" so I added a strip of pretty washi tape to give it a pop of color.  Since I have collected quite a few rolls of washi, it was nice to finally use some of it lol!  OK, be sure to head over to the Greeting Farm Blog to see what the rest of the team is sharing today and to find all the details to play along in the challenge.

Thank you so much for stopping by.  Stay warm!

Hugs, Anita

Happy Thursday everyone and Happy Thanksgiving to those of you that celebrate this holiday!  Although it's Thanksgiving, I'm actually sharing a Christmas card today.

I have another Sylvia Zet image today - I love her adorable and whimsical images :)  This cutie is Christmas Bunny and of course I've used my copics and colored pencils to color it.  I used Liquid Applique on his tail and then added lots of Glamour Dust and pearl dots for some sparkle.  The sentiment tag is from the Christmas Labels Clear Stamps by Wild Rose Studio.  I added a poinsettia cut with my Spellbinders Poinsettia die, a sheer bow, and some pearls.

CC Designs November Review

Hello friends!  For those of you in the States, are you ready for the big turkey day?  What about the big sales on Friday?  Well, I do plan to eat way too much on Thanksgiving but I won't be fighting the crazy crowds on Black Friday.  Been there ... done that ... way too much craziness for me lol!

Today over on the CC Designs Blog we are previewing the fabulous stamps from the November release.  I decided to ink up these Sweet Penguins and the Swiss Pixie Snowy Wall.  I colored these cuties with copics and pencils of course.  I added some Glossy Accents to their beaks and feet and Glamour Dust to their candy and the snow.  The sentiment is from the new Christmas Sentiments II stamp set by AmyR Stamps.  Be sure to stop by the CC Designs Blog to see what the rest of the DT is sharing today.  I know you'll find lots of inspiration over there!

Thank you for stopping by.  Stay warm!

Good morning friends.  It's Tuesday so that means we've got a new inspiration post over on the By LORi Designs Blog today.  We are continuing our Christmas/winter theme and I have used one of Lori's newer images on today's card.

This handsome guy is Winter Brian - isn't he a cutie?  I love his tophat!  I colored him with copics and then used my colored pencils for some additional shading.  I used a black glaze pen on his button and then added a snowflake with a button and hemp cording.  Another clean and simple card that won't require any additional postage ... yeah!  OK, be sure to stop by the By LORi Designs Blog to see what the rest of the team is sharing today.  Loads of cuteness over there, I promise!

Warmest Wishes

Happy Monday to all of you!  So, are you managing to stay warm?  It's still very cold here and I don't like it at all lol!  I am just not ready for all this cold weather.  And if I'm already complaining about the cold, I can't even image what I'll be like in January :)  OK, enough whining from me.

Today I've used one of the newer images from CC Designs called Puppy Snowman.  I'm a sucker for any image with a snowman lol!  I colored these cuties with copics and colored pencils.  I added some Glossy Accents to their noses and Glamour Dust to their hats and the snow.  The sentiment is from the new Christmas Sentiments II set by AmyR Stamps and the snowflake is from the CC Designs Cutter It's Snowing Die.  If you would like to see how to mask the image in order to ink in a darker background/sky, then stop by the CC Designs Blog - I've shared a little tutorial over there.

Naughty or Nice?

Good morning everyone!  I hope you're having a fabulous weekend.  It has been bitterly cold here and I even saw some of those white flakes flying around yesterday afternoon.  Brrr!  I'm hoping it's a little warmer today but we'll see how that goes :)

Today I have colored another new release by Jo Davies ... Santa Hat.  This is a digital image and you can find her over in Jo's Etsy shop.  Of course I colored her with copics and then used my colored pencils to add some shading.  I used Liquid Applique on the "fuzzy" parts of her outfit and hat.  Isn't she a cutie?  The sentiment is from a set of clear stamps by Teresa Collins and with her sweet face I HAD to say she's been nice!  No one this adorable could be naughty, right?  Be sure to stop by and check out the rest of Jo's images here.

Thank you for stopping by.  Enjoy the rest of your weekend and stay warm!

Happy Saturday friends!  So, have you stopped by the Sugar Nellie Blog to see the beautiful new images in our Return To Winter Wonderland?  Aren't they gorgeous?  I think Karen always does such a fabulous job finding the prettiest fairies for her shop!

Today I have used More Hands Make Light Work.  I colored her with copics and added some shading with my colored pencils.  Of course I had to add lots of Glamour Dust to her wings, jinglebells, and snowflake wand.  Every fairy needs to have lots of sparkle, right?  I also added a bow, poinsettia, and some snowflakes with pearls.  You can find all my card details below.  Please remember to leave comments so you'll have a chance at winning some lovely candy :)  These new images are all available over at Funky Kits.

Thank you so much for stopping by.

Happy Wednesday everyone!  We're starting a new challenge today over on the 7 Kids College Fund Challenge Blog and the theme is ... "anything goes"!  Our challenges throughout the rest of this year will be "anything goes" but remember that in order to be eligible for the gift certificate prize you must use an image carried in the 7 Kids College Fund Store.

Supplies from 7 Kids College Fund:

The challenge is open for two weeks so you've got lots of time to play along.  I hope to see your card entered in the 7 Kids College Fund Challenge Blog!

Happy Tuesday!  We have a new inspiration post over on the By LORi Designs Blog.  We're continuing with our Christmas theme and sharing projects featuring the Candy Kids Collection.

I used Penny Peppermint on my card today.  Isn't she a little cutie?  I colored her with copics and then applied Glossy Accents to her glasses and peppermint candy in her hand.  The sentiment is by My Favorite Things and it's a set I've had for several years.  I added some sequins that my LSS recently started carrying.  I love these little sparklies :-)  So, another clean and very simple Christmas card to add to my stash and the best part is ... it won't require any additional postage ... yay!

Hello again friends.  I'm back again to share my latest card for the 7 Kids College Fund Store.  Christmas is one of my favorite holidays and I never get tired of making Christmas cards so that's what I've made today.

This is Apple Blossom's Skates by Elisabeth Bell.  I stamped her on Neenah Solar White Smooth Classic Crest Cardstock with Memento Tuxedo Black Ink and colored her with copics and colored pencils.  I used the Spellbinders Poinsettia Creations Shapeabilities to diecut the flower and then added some Rangers Gold Stickles to the center of the poinsettia.

Mistletoe

Hello and happy Thursday to all of you.  This morning I'm sharing a Sugar Nellie card I made using  one of my older stamps.  You know, sometimes we just need to get those older images out and show them some inky love too, right?

This adorable image is called Mistletoe ... aren't they just the cutest?  I think this image is so perfect for a couple, young or old, that are celebrating their first Christmas together :)  I colored this image with copics and then added some shading with my colored pencils.  My papers are by Bo Bunny and I cut the layered snowflake from glittery paper and added a pearl to the center.  The sentiment is from an older Stampavie set of sentiments that I've had for a few years.  A very CAS card that can be easily mailed without paying a fortune in postage - perfect!  You can find this sweet image over at Funky Kits.

Baby, It's Cold Outside

Good morning everyone!  Well, as my post title states ... baby, it's cold outside.  We had snow on the ground when we woke up yesterday morning and baby it was cold too!  Brrr, I am so not ready for winter weather and I think they're predicting that this bitterly cold weather is going to stick around for a few days.  I really need to move to a tropical island so if you know where I can purchase one (very cheap) please let me know lol!

So while I may not like the cold weather, I love this new digi, Catching Snowflakes, by Jo Davies over at Time For Tea Designs.  Isn't she adorable?  I colored her with my copics and colored pencils and then used a little bit of Glamour Dust and Pearl Pen around the image.  I kept my card simple and just added a couple of flags, a glittery snowflake, and a button.  Jo just recently released four new winter digi images and you can view all of her images in her Etsy Shop.

Thank you so much for stopping by.  Keep warm!

Hugs, Anita
