Your Next Stamp - Challenge 103

Happy Friday everyone!  Today I'm sharing a card I made for the new Challenge over on the Your Next Stamp Blog.

The theme for this challenge is "A Caroling We Will Go", so you need to create a project based on a Christmas carol or other seasonal song.  I chose the song "Winter Wonderland" which includes the words "...in the meadow we can build a snowman...".  I used the cute snowman from the Frosty Friends stamp set.  I colored the snowman with copics and diecut him using the Frosty Friends Die Set.  I used a white gel pen to add some polka-dots to the snowman's hat and mittens, and I applied Nuvo Crystal Glaze to his nose.  I used my Wink of Stella Clear Glitter Pen on the poinsettia to give it some sparkle.  I diecut a circle using snowflake paper and white cardstock and adhered the snowman on the mound of snow.

Copics Used:
Snowman - BV20, BG70
Snowman Cheeks - R30, R00
Snowman Arms - E27, E23, E21
Mittens & Hat - B99, B97, B95, B93, B91 and G28, YG17, YG03, YG01
Poinsettia - R59, R37, R14, Y18, YG17, YG03, YG01

To enter the challenge you need to follow the theme and link your card to the challenge post on the Your Next Stamp Blog.  Also be sure to stop by the YNS Blog to read all the challenge details and to see the fabulous projects by the rest of the DT!

Enjoy Your Day

Hello everyone!  Today I'm sharing a card that I posted over on The Greeting Farm Blog.

These cute images are from the Potted Plants stamp set.  There are lots of adorable plants included in this set and it's perfect for making cards for lots of different occasions.  I colored the plants with copics and then used the coordinating Potted Plants Die Cuts to diecut them.  I found some pretty foliage paper in my stash and applied that to my cardbase.  Next, I diecut 3 circles in black cardstock and adhered that to the front of the card.  I adhered the plants with foam tape to give my card some added dimension.

Thanks so much for stopping by.  I hope you have a wonderful day!

Hugs, Anita

Your Next Stamp - Share A Favorite

Good morning everyone!  Today I'm sharing a Guest DT card I made for the Your Next Stamp Blog.

One of my favorite techniques lately is ink blending.  I love the backgrounds I can create just by using Distress Inks or Distress Oxide Inks.  I sponged Peacock Feathers and Wilted Violet Distress Oxide Inks onto a piece of Bristol card and then flicked some water from a small paintbrush.  I think it looks like the sky with some soft falling snow.  The adorable birdhouse images are from the Home For The Holidays stamp set.  I colored them with copics and then diecut them using the Home For The Holidays Die Set.  I used a black glaze pen on the birds' eyes and added some Glamour Dust to the snow on the birdhouses.  I applied Nuvo Crystal Glaze to the bird beaks and some of the ornaments.  I used the Puffy Border Cloud Die Set to cut the cloud border and used silver string to "hang" the birdhouses from the clouds.

Thanks so much for stopping by.  I hope you have a wonderful week!

Hugs, Anita

Wishing You A Cup Of Cheer

Good afternoon!  Today I'm sharing a card featuring an image from Create A Smile Stamps.

This cute coffee cup with the birdie on top is a freebie over on the Create A Smile Blog.  I colored the image with my copics and then used my Scan N Cut to cut out the image.  I used my Wink of Stella clear glitter pen on the heart and I used a black glaze pen on the bird's eye.  I sponged distress inks onto a scalloped rectangle panel and used foam tape to adhere the cup.  I added a little snowflake with a pearl in the center.  The sentiment is from Sunny Studio Stamps.  This card was super easy to make and gives me another card to add to my Christmas card stash!

Thanks for stopping by.  I hope you have a wonderful weekend!

Hugs, Anita
