Sending You Hugs & Fishes

Happy Monday everyone!  I hope you all had a wonderful weekend.  To those of you in the states, do you have special plans for Memorial Day?  We're having a BBQ ... yay!  We also hope to take in the local parade and more importantly, take some time to remember the veterans who died while serving our country.

Today I'm sharing a card using one of Lori's sweet images from her April release.  This little cutie is Puddle Jumper Scout.  Love his sweet little face.  I will probably send this card to my grandson.  He loves to go fishing with my hubby and he gets so excited when he catches one lol.  Of course we have to hurry and take a picture so he can release the fish back into the lake.  So anyway, I colored this image with copics and added some Star Dust Stickles to the fish to give his scales that shiny look.  I added some burlap and a few buttons tied with hemp.  Be sure to stop by the By LORi Designs Blog to see what the DT is sharing each day!

Thank you so much for stopping by.  I hope you have a great day.

Hugs, Anita

  1. Hi Anita. This is just adorable! I love your little fisherman and his big catch. What a great idea to add stickels for his shiny fins. I think it worked perfectly. I also think those papers along with your burlap strip just make this card all the more awesome. LOVE IT! Hope you have a great BBG. We aren't doing anything today :0( my hubby isn't feeling too well, so we ended up staying home instead of heading to my parents' house and spending time with them and my Sister's family. Anyway, take care. Hugs Lisa G
