Your Next Stamp - Happy Haunting

Good morning!  Today I'm sharing another card that I made as a guest designer for Your Next Stamp.

I love making Halloween cards and Your Next Stamp has lots of fabulous Halloween stamps and dies!  I decided to use a few different sets to make this Halloween card.  I started my card by inking the background.  I diecut some grassy slopes and blended on some Forest Moss Distress Oxide Ink; I thinned some black acrylic paint and spattered that onto the slopes using a small paint brush.  For the night sky, I used Wilted Violet, Chipped Sapphire, and Black Soot Distress Oxide Inks.  I spattered both white and black acrylic paint that I thinned with water onto the night sky.  I chose images from the Halloween Phoebe and Waddles Trick or Treat stamp sets.  I stamped the images, colored them with copics, and diecut them with the coordinating dies.  I also diecut some trees from black cardstock using the Spooky Halloween Scene Die Set.  I diecut the moon using a circle die and sponged it with distress oxide inks (sorry, I neglected to jot down the inks I used for the moon).  I used a white gel pen to add some highlights and I used Nuvo Crystal Glaze on the penguins' beaks and feet.  I adhered some of the images directly to the card and I used foam tape on some of them for added interest and dimension.

I want to thank Karen and Julie for having me guest for them, it was so much fun!

Thanks so much for stopping by!

Frozen Fun

Good morning!  Today I'm sharing a card that I posted over on the LDRS Inspiration Blog

There are so many cute images in the Frozen Fun stamp set but I decided to use only the three penguins for my card today.  I stamped the penguins with Raven Hybrid Ink onto white cardstock.  I colored the images with my copics and then diecut them using the coordinating Frozen Fun Die Set.

I cut my card base at 5" x 10" and scored it in the middle to form a 5" x 5" card.  I cut a piece of pattern paper from the Christmas Cottage 6x6 Paper to measure 5" x 5" and adhered it to the front of my card.  I also cut a piece of red cardstock to measure 5" x 5" and used a die from the Practically Square Frame Set to diecut a window.  I used the Over The Hills Die to cut the snowy slopes from white cardstock and I adhered the slopes to my card.  I stamped the sentiment using Raven Hybrid Ink and then adhered the red  frame to my card with foam tape.  I also adhered the penguins with foam tape for some added dimension.

Thank you so much for stopping by!  I hope you have a wonderful weekend!

Boo-Yah!

Hello everyone!  Today I'm sharing a card that I posted over on The Greeting Farm Blog.

I used stamps from Trick or Treat, Trick or Treat 2, and Trick or Treat 3 to make this not-so-spooky card!  I love that these Halloween sets are interchangeable!  I stamped the images on Neenah cardstock, colored them with copics, and then used the coordinating dies and my ScanNCut to diecut them.  I used a Wink of Stella clear glitter pen on the crown to give it some sparkle. I sponged distress oxide inks onto Bristol card to create the night scene.  I thinned both white and black acrylic paint with water and spattered them over the Bristol with a small paintbrush.  I glued the moon, trees, bats, and ghosts to the card and then used foam tape to adhere the trick or treaters!

Keeping Christmas Inspiration Hop

Welcome to the Keeping Christmas Inspiration Hop!  If you are looking for some inspiration for Christmas projects, you have come to the right place.  Our team does a monthly Keeping Christmas Inspiration Hop! We will be sharing Christmas creations on the 25th of each month.

The whole idea is to have some Christmas cards and projects in our stash all ready to go for December 2019!

I used the Tag Topper Dies - Traditional by Sunny Studio Stamps to cut the tags from Bristol card.  I sponged Broken China Distress Oxide Ink on the tags and then spattered white acrylic paint that I had thinned out with water.  The sweet images and sentiments are from the Gleeful Reindeer Stamps.  I stamped the images on Neenah cardstock, colored them with copics, and then diecut them using the coordinating dies.  Once the tags were dry, I stamped the sentiments directly onto the tags.  I adhered the trees and reindeer with foam tape for dimension.  I added some red ribbon, silver cording, and glittered jinglebells to the tags to finish them off.

Be sure to hop along to visit each of the blogs.  There's tons of inspiration and ideas to get your creative juices flowing!
