Wishing You A Christmas That Is Merry & Bright

Good morning friends!  Today I'm sharing a Christmas card using some new dies from the Nichol Spohr collection over at Spellbinders

I cut a panel of 4.25" x 5.5" bristol card and inked it with Tumbled Glass, Broken China, Prize Ribbon, Chipped Sapphire, and Black Soot Distress Oxide Inks.  I spattered the panel with thinned white gouache and stamped a sentiment from the Santa's Sippin' Sayings stamp set.  I diecut some greenery, spattered it with white gouache, and adhered it to the top of the inked panel.  The ornament was diecut using the Festive Ornaments Etched Dies.  I diecut the top portion of the ornament and the small heart from glittery white cardstock and adhered it to the ornament.  I diecut the ornament topper from silver mirror cardstock and glued it to the ornament.  I diecut the holly and berry and inked them with distress oxide inks.  I applied Nuvo Crystal Glaze to the berries.  I added white highlights with a white gel pen.  I tied a silver cord bow through the top of the ornament and attached it to the card with foam tape.

Thank you so much for stopping by.  I hope you have a fabulous day!

Wishing You Joy

Happy Sunday crafty friends!  I have a Christmas card to share today featuring some dies by Spellbinders Paper Arts.

This gingerbread couple is from the Dancin' Gingerbread Etched Dies set.  I've kept seeing these adorable gingerbreads on Instagram and decided I needed to add them to my stash.  Playing with them reminds me of playing with paper dolls when I was a kid!  I diecut a scalloped rectangle and inked it with Tumbled Glass Distress Oxide Ink.  I spattered it with thinned white gouache and then spattered it with Liquid Stardust by Lawn Fawn.  I diecut all the shapes from kraft, white, pink, and red cardstock.  I inked the edges of the gingerbread and then attached the diecut shapes to create their frosting and outfits!  I added a highlight to their eyes and polka dots to the boy's hat and scarf with a white gel pen.  The sentiment on the card is from the Santa's Sippin' Sayings clear stamp set.  I attached the images with foam tape and added a tiny little red diecut heart.  I applied Nuvo Crystal Glaze to the heart and the buttons on the girl's dress.

Thanks so much for stopping by.  I hope you have a beautiful day!

I used the Large Stitched Rectangle Stackables to diecut bristol card.  I inked the card with Seedless Preserves, Wilted Violet, and Black Soot Distress Oxide Inks.  I splattered the card with white gouache and black acrylic paint, and adhered it to my card base.  I colored images from the Spooktacular and Booyah stamp sets and diecut them using the coordinating Lawn Cuts.  I used the Giant Happy Halloween Lawn Cut and diecut 3 sentiments, gluing them one on top of the other.  I glued the large sentiment directly to my card and then adhered the colored images with foam tape.  I used a white gel pen to add highlights to some of the images.
