Your Next Stamp - Boom!

Hello stamping friends!  I have another 4th of July celebration card to share with you today.

This cute image is from the Boom! clear stamp set.  There are three different dynamite images and several funny sentiments included in the set.  I colored the dynamite with copics and then cut it out using the coordinating Boom! Die Set.  My papers are from the Patriotic Picnic 6x6 pad from Doodlebug Design.  If you want to see some of the other cards I've made using this set you can look herehere, and here.  As you can see, I've gotten lots of use out of this adorable stamp set.

It's A Good Day

Happy Saturday!  I hope you're enjoying your weekend ... and I hope you're having some amazing weather.  Once again, we've got rain, cloudy skies, and cooler than normal temps ... yuck!  Summer, where are you LOL?

Well, this cute bunny and her yummy cupcakes helped brighten up my soggy day ;-)  I've had this Carnival Cupcakes stamp set from Mama Elephant for  awhile now and finally got to play with it.  I also have some (new to me) Zig Clean Color Real Brush Pens and that's what I used to color this stamp.  I've heard both good and not-so-good comments about these pens but I have to say I really like them ... a lot!  I love the bright colors of these pens and I think they're so easy to use.  Of course, having this adorable image to color makes it fun too.  The sentiment is from the Up And Away stamp set.  If you want more details on the products I used on my card, check out the small print at the bottom of my post.

Thanks for stopping by.  Enjoy your day!

Hugs, Anita

Your Next Stamp - Fun Friday Sketch and Color Challenge #17

Happy Friday everyone!  I hope you've had an amazing week!  Today I'm sharing a card I made for our latest Fun Friday Sketch and Color Challenge over on the Your Next Stamp Blog.

Isn't this butterfly fun?   It's from the new Quirky Animals Set Five clear stamp set.  If you look at the photo of the stamp set below, you'll see there are two adorable butterfly images and lots of great sentiments!  I colored the butterfly with my Zig Clear Color Real Brushes and a Wink of Stella clear glitter pen.  These Zig brushes are new to me and I've really been having fun with them.  I cut the butterfly using the coordinating Quirky Animals Set Five Dies and then applied some Glossy Accents to the sunglasses.   I used the Stitched Rectangle Die Set and the Stitched Square Die Set to cut the white cardstock.  I used the Chunky Grass Die to cut the grass and then stamped the sentiment on the grass.  I used some Neon Sunrise and Mermaid Fun gumdrops to finish my card.

To enter the challenge you need to follow the sketch and/or the inspiration photo.  Be sure to stop by the Your Next Stamp Blog to read the challenge details and to see the beautiful projects by the rest of the DT!

Paper Smooches - Sugar Rush

Good morning stamping friends!  I hope you're having a great week so far.  I have a CAS card featuring a sweet image from Paper Smooches.

Doesn't this image just scream summer?  This is just one of many images included in the Sugar Rush clear stamp set.  I love Paper Smooches stamps for making quick and easy cards.  There wasn't much coloring required but I did use my copics for coloring and then I used the coordinating new Sugar Rush Icons Dies to cut out the drink.  I also added a little bit of Glamour Dust to the orange drink to make it look frosty ... doesn't really show up in the photo but looks great on the card.  The fun papers are from Doodlebug Design.  I'm entering this card in the Paper Smooches June Anything Goes (Week 3) Challenge.

SugarPea Designs CCC#2 and The Challenge #40

( ** Please scroll down for my Your Next Stamp post ** )

Good morning everyone!  I hope you had a fabulous weekend.  Today I'm sharing a card I made for two challenges!  One of the challenges is the SugarPea Designs Creative Color Challenge #2 and the other is a nautical theme challenge over at The Challenge.

I used the sweet girl from the SeaSide Wishes clear stamp set from SugarPea Designs.  It's been awhile since I've inked up this little cutie and I thought she would be great on a card for both of these challenges!  I colored the image with copics and used the banner from the  SugarCuts - Gift Tag Die to stamp my sentiment.  I used the small sunglasses from the SugarCuts - Brainy Bookmarks Die for the sun.  And since our theme this week at The Challenge is nautical, I think the seaside girl and the dp are perfect.

I hope you find some time to get inky and play along with us in both challenges!  You can find the links to the DT's fabulous projects over on the SugarPea Designs Blog and at The Challenge!

Your Next Stamp - June Feature Day

Good morning and happy Monday!  Today is Feature Day over on the Your Next Stamp Blog, which means that the team is sharing some new samples featuring the YNS stamps and dies.  Our theme this month was to create a project featuring animals or critters.

I used this cute little bee from the Smiley Happy Critter Crew Set Three stamp set and colored it with copics.   I applied Glamour Dust to the wings and then used the Smiley Happy Critter Crew Set Three Die Set to cut out the image.  I used the Stitched Rectangle Die Set to cut out the white cardstock panel.  I sponged some ink behind the bee and then spattered some black paint.  I embossed the sentiment with white embossing powder and then added some fun Neon Sunrise Gumdrops to finish my card.

Be sure to stop by the Your Next Stamp Blog to see what the rest of the DT is sharing today.  If you leave a comment on the YNS Blog you may be the lucky winner of a stamp set of your choice!

Thanks so much for stopping by!

Neat and Tangled - Sweet Summer

Happy Sunday stamping friends!  I hope you're having a great weekend.  We're having a very wet one in my area.  We've had sooo much rain here the last couple of days ... I'm just waiting to see the ark float by my window LOL!  OK, I know you didn't stop by to hear me complain about my soggy weather so let me share a quick and easy card I made.

I happened across this great sketch challenge over on the Little Tangles Challenge Blog and really wanted to play along.  I went to check out their store site and found myself making quite a wish list of their products that I love.  So I think I'll be seeing some of their stamp sets falling into my shopping cart soon.  But since I don't own any of their stamps yet I decided to play along with a couple of their cute digis that they offer for free here.  I colored these sweet flip-flops with copics and then added some Wink of Stella clear glitter pen to give them a little sparkle.  The sentiment I used is also one of their freebies.  Then I added a few enamel dots to finish my card.  I'm also entering my card in Leslie Hanna's The Crooked Stamper Sketch Challenge

Thanks for stopping by.  I hope you're having some sunny, dry weather wherever you are!

Hugs, Anita

Paper Smooches - Bee Mine

Hello friends!  I hope you're having a fabulous weekend so far.  We are having a huge downpour today so I decided to play around with a fun stamp and die set from Paper Smooches.

This sweet bee is from the Bee Mine clear stamp set.  There are lots of fun images and sentiments in this set!  I colored the bee with copics and cut it out using the Bee Mine Icon Dies.  I added some Glamour Dust to the bee's wings and then popped the bee up on some foam dots.  I added a few enamel dots to finish my card.

I'm entering my card in the Paper Smooches Sparks Challenge - their challenge this week is the June Picture Perfect Challenge.

Thanks for stopping by.  Enjoy the rest of the weekend!

SugarPea Designs SPD17 - Feeling Sentimental

Good morning everyone!  I hope you're having a great week so far.  We have a new challenge over on the SugarPea Designs Blog today so I hope you're ready to get inky and play along!

I used the sweet SugarCuts - Baby Diaper Pin die set to cut out the "baby" sentiment and then I stamped the rest of the sentiment with the Bundle of Joy clear stamp set.  I used the SugarCuts - Heart Border die to cut the heart border strip.  I added a few sequins to finish my card and give it a bit of sparkle.  A very clean and simple card to welcome a sweet little baby girl!  I wish I could say this was a quick and easy card ... it should have been lol.  But since I normally have a colored image as my focal point I really struggled with this card.  But I am happy with the way it turned out.

The rules are simple:
   -   Create a new card or project using the SPD theme provided
   -   SugarPea Design stamps are not required to play along or to win, but would be appreciated
      -   Upload to your blog or other Online Gallery using Keyword SPD17 so that we can check out your beautiful work
   -   Add your name and link to your project in the InLinkz on the SugarPea Designs Blog
   -   One randomly selected winner will receive a $10 Gift Certificate to the SugarPea Designs Online Shoppe.  However, if the winning entry features a SugarPea Designs stamp the prize will increase to $15!!!

Make sure to stop by the SugarPea Designs Blog for links to the DT's amazing project!

Thank you for stopping by.  I hope you have an awesome day!

The Challenge #39 - You're Tea-rific!

Happy Monday everyone!  We have a new challenge today over at Always Playing With Paper's The Challenge.  Our challenge this week is an inspiration challenge and I know you're going to love it!

Isn't this inspiration picture just gorgeous?  I used this adorable bunny from Your Next Stamp's Sprinkles - Coffee and Tea clear stamp set.  I love this stamp set - it has the cutest bunnies and perfect sentiments to go along with the images!  I colored the image with my Prismacolor pencils and then cut it out using the Sprinkles - Coffee and Tea Die Set.  I cut the dp paper (don't those cakes look yummy?) with the Stitched Rectangle Die Set.  I used the Circles Die Set and the Stitching Marks Die Set - Circles for the white circle behind the bunny.

Be sure to stop by The Challenge to see the gorgeous projects by the rest of the DT!  I hope you find some time to get inky and play along with us!

Your Next Stamp - You're Dyn-O-Mite

Happy Sunday everyone!  I have another fun July 4th celebration card to share today.

This fun image is from the Boom! clear stamp set.  I used this set to make several different celebration cards for July 4th.  There are three different dynamite images and several funny sentiments included in the set.  I colored the dynamite with copics and then cut it out using the coordinating Boom! Die Set.  My papers are from the Patriotic Picnic 6x6 pad from Doodlebug Design.  If you know me then you know I love Doodlebug Design papers ;-)  If you want to see some of the other cards I've made using this set you can look here and here.

If you live in my area, you can pick up this stamp set, the coordinating dies, and the 6x6 paper pad at The Paper Cottage.  And if you're not local then of course you can order these fun stamps and dies directly from Your Next Stamp.
