Love

Good evening friends.  I was looking through some of my cards and realized I had not posted this card ... so I thought I'd pop on here quickly and share it.

I started with a piece of watercolor paper and diecut the heart shape.  Then I thought I'd try my hand at adding some color with water and distress inks.  I like the way it turned out.  The love diecut is from SugarPea Designs' Sugarcuts - Heart Journal Card.  I cut it out several times and glued the layers together.  I really like to layer my word diecuts like this as I think it really makes them "stand out" more than just using one layer, if that makes sense lol!  The sentiment is from the Happy Mail clear stamp set.  Then I just added some sequins and adhered it to a bright pink card base.  There you have it ... a fairy quick and easy card!

Thanks so much for stopping by.  I hope you're having a great weekend.

Hugs, Anita

I used the Sprinkles - Happy Easter clear stamp set and the coordinating Sprinkles - Happy Easter Die Set to make my card today.  This is a new set that is available in the YNS Store now!  I absolutely adore this little bunny and his carrot car - it's sooo cute!!!  I also used the Spring/Summer Scene Die set to cut the hills, flower stems, tree and the cloud.  I used the Whatknot Seasons Die to cut the sun and then added a little button to it.  Be sure to check out the other stamps in this set in the photo below.  I love this stamp set and know I'll be reaching for this set often.

The Challenge #25 - Bee Mine

Good morning everyone!  I have some exciting news to share with you today.  I am now a design team member for The Challenge!  I love Lesley's sketch/color challenges and tried to play along when time allowed, so I was thrilled when she asked me to join her team!

So as you can see from the picture above, you can choose to use either the sketch or the colors, or you can combine both for your card.

I used the sketch and this sweet little bee from the Sweet and Cool set from Your Next Stamp.  I colored this little cutie with copics and then added some Glamour Dust to his wings for some sparkle.  I used the coordinating Sweet and Cool Die Set to cut the bee.  The sentiment is included with the stamp set and the flag banners were cut using a MFT die.  The papers are some scraps I found in my stash.

Be sure to stop by The Challenge to see what the rest of the team is sharing today.  The challenge ends on Sunday, March 1 at Noon (pst).  I hope you find some time to play along!
