Some Hippie Love

Hello friends.  I have something new to share with you today.  Several weeks ago (or maybe months?)  I picked up a few notebooks at a local store so that I could alter them.  You know, take something fairly cheap ... and ugly ... and turn it into something pretty.  Well, I finally finished one!  And I have to say, I really like the way it turned out.

My image is Sugar Nellie's Simply Sassy Hippie Love.  Don't you just love that outfit?  I colored this sweetie with copics and colored pencils.  I added some StarDust stickles to her string of hearts and used a black glaze pen on the jacket buttons.  I added some flowers and ribbons to finish my notebook.  This notebook is for my niece and I know she's going to love this little hippie.  You can find Hippie Love and all the other adorable Simply Sassy images at Funky Kits

Happy Tuesday everyone!  It's time for another challenge over at the Ladybug Crafts Ink TLT Challenge Blog.  It was my turn to choose the challenge this week and I picked Stitching - faux or real.  So as you can see, it's an easy challenge this week.

I used Cupcake Cutie - Cherry on Top on my card this week.  I colored her with copics and colored pencils and added Glossy Accents to the cherry.  I added some stickles to the flower in her hair and added Glamour Dust to the cupcake frosting.  I stitched the edges of all my papers.  Then I used a Bazzill In Stitch'z template and green embroiderly floss to add  some accent stitching.  My sentiment is from the Sentimental Numbers set.

Simply Sassy Release Blog Hop

We have 6 new Simply Sassy stamps to show you.  In order to see all of these gorgeous stamps you'll need to stop at each of the DT blogs and leave a comment.

Each DT member has two stamps to give to a lucky winner.  You need to leave a comment by Monday, Febuary 28, 12 noon GMT (that's 7:00 a.m. EST my time).  I will draw a winner from those that leave a comment and I'll post the winner here on my blog (Monday) by 7 pm GMT (2:00 pm EST).  You will have until the end of the day on Wednesday, March 2, to contact me with your address.  My email is located in my sidebar.  Please put "Simply Sassy winner" in the subject line so that I don't accidently delete your message.

I used Tammy on my card ... isn't she adorable with those big glasses and her sweet little snowman friend?  I colored her with copics and colored pencils and added some Glamour Dust to the pom poms on her hat and her scarf.  I used tiny little pearls for the buttons on her coat and added some Glossy Accents to the buttons on her legwarmers.  I used my Martha Stewart snowflake border punch and also added a bow.  I punched various size snowflakes, layered them, and then added a little pearl to the center of each one.  I also used Glamour Dust on the snowflakes, the snowman, and the snow on the ground.

Feel Better

Happy Friday to all of you.  It's finally here ... Friday, that one day that we all look forward to each week.  I found a cute freebie image over at Bugaboo Stamps this week and decided to make my card using him.

This little guy is named Itchy Dog Bowl.  Isn't he adorable?  I colored him using copics and colored pencils.  I added Glossy Accents to his nose, the pads of his feet, and also to the food bowl.  I just picked up this Maraschino twine (by The Twinery) at my LSS, Simply Scrapbooks (thank you Vicki, I love all the colors you stocked!).  I added a few buttons to finish my card.
