Your Next Stamp - Sketch and Color Challenge #37

Happy Friday everyone!  Today I'm sharing a card I made for our new Sketch and Color Challenge over on the Your Next Stamp Blog

I used the Big Birthday Balloon Die Set to make this quick and easy birthday card.  I started by using the die to cut the balloon from watercolor paper and then I sponged on distress inks in our challenge colors.  I used a paintbrush to spatter water drops onto the balloon.  I let the water set for a few seconds and then used a clean paper towel to absorb the remaining water.  I love how distress inks react with water, don't you?  I tied some silver cording around the balloon and mounted it on a cardstock panel that I cut using the Stitched Rectangle Die.  I used the happy birthday script die to cut the sentiment from black and attached that to the balloon.  Lastly, I added a few pretty gumdrops to finish my card.

To enter the challenge you need to follow the sketch and/or the inspiration photo.  Be sure to stop by the Your Next Stamp Blog to read the challenge details and to see the beautiful projects by the rest of the DT!

Thank you so much for stopping by.

Hugs, Anita
