Guess Who Thinks You're Special?

Good morning!  Today I'm sharing a card I made for the Simon Says Stamp Wednesday Challenge.

Simon's challenge this week is to make a card and a matching envelope.  I seldom decorate my envelopes so I thought this would be a fun challenge!  I stamped one of the sweet owls from the My Favorite Things Warm and Feathered Hugs set, colored it with copics, and then diecut it using the coordinating dies.  I added some Nuvo Crystal Glaze to the owl's beak.  My papers are from Echo Park's Celebrate Winter 6x6 pad - I love the colors and patterns in this pad!  I added a diecut snowflake with a tiny pearl in the center and adhered the owl, snowflake, and sentiment strip with foam tape. 

Copics Used:

Owl - E33, E31, E30, E50 and E42, E41, E40

Beak/Claws - YR18, YR14, YR12

Scarf - BG18, BG57, BG53, BG11 and R59, R37, R14

 

I used the My Favorite Things Stitched Scallop Basic Edges 2 die-namic to cut a strip of snowflake paper.  I adhered the snowflake paper to a strip of red cardstock, and then adhered the strip along the bottom edge of my envelope.  Lastly, I stamped a few snowflakes using stamps from the same stamp set.
