Hello! I hope you've had a great day. I needed to make a card for my LSS using this Belles 'n Whistles image, Tania Baking, so I decided to use this sketch over at the Belles 'n Whistles Challenge Blog so I could enter my card in their challenge. Isn't she a cutie patootie? Reminds me of my daughter when she was little and had long blonde hair.
I colored my image with my Prismacolor pencils and gamsol and distressed the edges of the papers with ink. I do not do distressing, so this is not something you'll see on my blog very often. But I thought the soft colors on this card just needed a little something extra, so I decided to distress. Now, I know, it's very subtle, but that's a big move for me lol! I added some sheer ribbon and a bow and punched out some flowers and branches. I used some pearls in my flowers. For the ticket sentiment, I used Whimsey Sentiments Collection and my Tim Holtz die cut. I used Gossamer papers by Memory Box. I love these papers. The colors are so soft and muted.
I also want to share some news about a sale Kerry is having over at Ladybug Crafts Ink. If you use the code CB2010 you can save 15% off your total order. Now, how's that for a great sale? This offer is good through the end of November, so make sure you scoot over and check out her fantastic selection of stamps.
Thanks for stopping by!

Just Cute Bears - Swirls & Bling
Over at Just Cute Bears the challenge for this week is "Swirls and Bling". I'm using a Penny Black image called "Aiming to Please". With all the gifts he's carrying, someone is going to be very pleased, indeed!
I colored my image with my Prismacolor pencils and gamsol and added some Stardust stickles to the package and the tree on the shopping bag. I added a little glitter under the bear's feet to look like snow. My background cardstock is embossed with snowflakes and swirls and I've added little pearls to the centers of the snowflakes. I used my Nestabilities to cut out and mat my image, and added some pretty red flowers, leaves, and pearl "bling" to the flowers. I used PTI's Mixed Messages for the sentiment and tied it onto my ribbon with a little piece of floss.
Thank you for stopping by. Be sure to check out the Just Cute Bears Challenge for more inspiration from the DT.

Enjoy the Moment
I thought I'd make another Christmas card. This cute little mouse is from Penny Black and the stamp is "Let it Snow". I love Penny Black images because they're so cute. Well, OK, I love just about every stamp I ever meet LOL! My image is an older PB, but have you seen the new Christmas and Halloween PBs? Oooh, they're adorable. I used some of last year's BoBunny christmas papers on my card. I love this paper and really wish I had stacked up on huge amounts of it. I usually hoard my papers, but not this one. I used it a lot last year. I love that shade of aqua with red -- so pretty!
I used my Prismacolor pencils and gamsol to color my image. I added glaze for the icy patch and some glitter and stickles for the snow. A little piece of ribbon and a button tied with floss and that was pretty much all it needed. My sentiment is from my PTI Mixed Messages set. Wow, I really do use that set a lot. I should probably look around for a new set of tiny sentiments. If anyone has a great set of itty-bitty sentiments you love, let me know where to look so I can check them out.
I want to thank my new followers that have signed up and thank all of you for stopping by!

Beary Big Hugs
I checked out the Belles 'n Whistles challenge this week and saw that it was clean and simple. Well, I've been wanting to do an all-white card as I think they look so pretty. So I decided to make an all-white card using one of my new stamps.
I'm using Beary Big Hugs on this card. Doesn't she look so precious giving her teddy bear a big ole hug? I colored her with my prismacolor pencils and gamsol. In order to give my card some texture, I embossed the background and used a Martha Stewart punch on the edges of the cardstock. I used foam tape between my layers to give it some dimension. I added a white ribbon and bow and my card was done. No flowers, no glitter, no pearls, no charm -- hmm, I guess that's why they call it clean and simple lol. Thanks for stopping by!
I'd like to enter my card in these challenges:

Totally Ladybug Tuesday - Pink Plus One
Do you know what day it is? It's TLT - Totally Ladybug Tuesday and the Ladybug Crafts Ink DT had a challenge among ourselves. Kerry, Head Ladybug, chose the challenge for us this week and she chose "pink plus one". Yes, other than our image, we were only allowed pink plus one other color. Now I love pink, especially on my cards, so I was really happy when I heard what the challenge was this week. But after I had my image done and was getting ready to make my card, I had a heck of a time using pink and only one other color. I guess that's why they call it a "challenge" - huh? Anyway, here's my card
I used Bathtub Nikki and colored that gorgeous girl and her sweet little dog, Buttercup, with my prismacolor pencils and gamsol. I added lots of glitter to the soapsuds. Looks like even Buttercup is going to be smelling pretty by the time Nikki gets done! I used my Nestabilities to cut out the image and mats. I used a Martha Stewart around-the-page punch on my pink bazzill paper. I made my flower from a little piece of fabric and added a couple of buttons and floss, and added some pearls to the corners. My handmade flower actually matches my cardstock much better IRL than it does in this picture.
Want to see what the other Lovely Ladybugs created? Be sure you check out their blogs to see all their pretty pink projects. Wow, try saying that real fast 3 times!

Just Cute Bears
This week over at Just Cute Bears the challenge is "Punch It". This is my first project as a member of their Design Team. For my card, I chose Butterfly Bear from Stampavie.
I colored my sweet little bear and butterfly with prismacolor pencils and gamsol. I added some glaze to his eyes and nose and sprinkled Glamour Dust on the butterfly. I used my EK Success paw print punch for my border. I love my paw print punch. My friend Dolly is the one who showed me this punch when it came into our LSS (Simply Scrapbooks) and of course I had to buy it. Dolly shows me lots of things that I end up buying. I think Dolly is a bad influence on me, don't you? (You know I'm kidding, Dolly!) I used Martha Stewart punches for my butterfly and leaves. My flowers are by Prima and my sentiment is by Hero Arts.
For more inspiration, check out the fantastic cards the other DT members have created over at the Just Cute Bears Challenge. Thanks for stopping by!

Two Cute Bunnies
Aren't these bunnies just the cutest? This is a Stampavie stamp by Penny Johnson. I've had this image inked for months and finally found the time to color it today. I decided to enter Stampavie's current challenge, which is a sketch. I love playing along in sketch challenges. I sometimes have a hard time coming up with a layout that I like, so sketch challenges make it much easier for me.
I colored my image with Prismacolor pencils and gamsol, and added liquid applique to their little bunny tales. I stitched my papers together and added some punched flowers and leaves. My flowers looked rather plain so I added some pearls to the centers to give them a little sparkle. I punched my tag with a Martha Stewart punch and stamped it with PTI Mixed Messages. I'm using SEI's Chick A Doo papers.

A Friend Touches Your Heart
I love this sentiment. I've had it for ages and it's one of my favorites. And it's so true, isn't it? Friends truly do touch your heart. I think that's why I love this sentiment so much.
Denami Designs Rubber Stamps is having a color challenge and I wanted to enter. Unfortunately, my Denami stamps are for special occasions -- like Christmas and Halloween. Since their color challenge is white, black and magenta, I didn't think my Denami stamps would work very well. So I decided to use this sentiment and make it the focal point of my card.
I used my embossing folder to give the white background some texture. I used my Nestabilities to cut out my sentiment layers. I added some ribbon and a bow. Then I punched out my flowers and added a little pearl to the center. Easy peasy, huh? Since this was such a simple card, I decided to dress up the inside of it, too.

A Kitty For Sue
I made this card for Sue, one of the lovely team members on the Ladybug Crafts Ink DT. Sue is trying to help raise money for Ovarian Cancer Research. Since the wristbands, ribbons, etc. for ovarian cancer are teal, Sue is asking for teal cards. Sue also has some blog candy that some lucky person can win just for sending her a teal card. Be sure to check out the scoop on Sue's blog and send her a card if you can.
I used "Mavis Has A Daisy" by Stamping Bella. I colored Mavis with my Prismacolor pencils and gamsol. I decided to paper piece her dress and the flower on her head. I really like paper piecing and I'm not sure why I don't do it more often. Anyway, I thought this pattern paper by My Mind's Eye would make a much cuter dress than my colored pencils.
I used my pawprint punch by EK Success to punch a strip of teal paper and then ran my piece of white cardstock through my embossing folder to give it some texture. I added some pearls to the corners of the card and used pearls for my flower centers.
Mary, one of the other lovely team members on our DT always finishes the inside of her cards and let me tell you, the inside is as beautiful as the front of her cards. It's always a treat to see how she's decorated the inside. Anyway, I decided to finish the inside of this card. Not as lovely as Mary's, but I like it.

Pretty in Purple
This is a card I made for my LSS, Simply Scrapbooks. The stamps I used are Lady Tilda and Wedding Rose Arch, both by Magnolia. I watercolored my image using Distress Inks and used some of my favorite Basic Grey paper. It's a large image so it didn't leave much room for other embellishments. I added a piece of ribbon and some pretty pearls. I also added some glitter to her dress and the flowers on the wedding arch. Thanks for stopping by!

Sweet Thing
This sweet little girl with the ice cream cone is Sweet Kiki La Rue by CC Designs. I used my Prismacolor pencils and gamsol to color Sweet Kiki.
I think this is the first time I've used lace on one of my cards and I really like it. I decided to use the lace to make a matching embellishment. I just sewed a stitch along the edge of a piece of the lace, gathered it into a circle, glued a little Prima flower in the middle, and it was done. Just don't tell my hubby that I know how to use a needle and thread lol! I made my own stick pins using some beads that I've had forever. I used my Martha Stewart punches for the scallop border and the heart, which you can barely see since I covered most of it with flowers and stick pins.
The greenery and little butterfly were also punched with Martha Stewart punches. Hmm, can you tell that Martha seems to get a lot of my money? And, that is not a good thing! I added some stickles to the ice cream and used the glaze pen on her eyes. I put some tiny little pearls on her dress, shoes, and the butterfly. Wow, were those little pearls hard to hold onto. I added some larger pearls to the corners and my card was done.

Peek A Boo . . .
. . . I see you. Doesn't it look like these little bunnies are playing a game of peek-a-boo? This is a Penny Black stamp that I've had for several months. I decided it was time to get some ink on this little cutie! I have so many stamps that have never seen ink but yet I keep buying more. Why is that?
I colored my image using Distress inks and my watercolor brushes. I added some grass to the image with a Prismacolor pencil. I stitched my cardstock layers together and added some ribbon and a little butterfly charm. I recently bought a Joy Crafts flower diecut at a stamping convention so I used that to make my flowers. I used my Martha Stewart punches for the white around my flowers and also for the little birthday tag. These little buttons have been in my stash forever and so has my pattern paper. The paper is by SEI and it's from their Chick A Doo line. I used PTI Mixed Messages for my sentiment. I really like that set of sentiments. It seems to have a little something for every occasion and when I need something small, I always seem to reach for that set.
Thanks for stopping by!

Shop Till You Drop
Looks like this little lady is celebrating by going shopping. And she must have plenty of money to spend because she has lots of bags on her arm. This image is a Lili of the Valley image (Born To Shop). I wanted to get this card finished in time to enter it into the Lili of the Valley challenge but life got in the way and I missed the cutoff for their challenge.
I used my distress inks to color my image and added glitter to her dress and hairbow. I put glaze on her sunglasses but I don't think it really shows in the picture. I used a Martha Stewart butterfly punch and added some pearls.
I also added a pearl in the larger flower for some bling and tied on a sweet little sentiment from the Papertrey Ink Mixed Messages stamp set. I punched out my sentiment using a Martha Stewart punch. I love the size of these little tags.
Thank you for stopping by!
