A Little Ornament

I hope you all had a fabulous Christmas and got lots of fun crafty stuff from Santa :)  So Christmas has come and gone for another year and I know most of you are probably tired of seeing Christmas cards and projects.  But I do have one more Christmas make to share with you today ...

This sweet little image is WW-Princess and you can find her over at Funky Kits.  I was visiting some blogs a few weeks ago and ran across these adorable ornaments on Suzanne Dean's blog here.  I knew I had seen these frames in my local Michael's and wanted to give them a try.  I colored my image with copics and colored pencils and added a bit of Glamour Dust to her dress and crown.  I also added some pearl pen dots around the image.  I painted the frame with some cream acrylic paint and once it was dry, I glued my image to the back of the frame.  I added a bow and flower, and then some silver cording so I can hang it on my tree.  This was so easy and I love the finished project.  I hope to pick up a few more frames to work on for next year.  My ornament is clean and simple and I will probably add a few embellishments to the next one I make.

On a sad note, this is my last post as a member of the Sugar Nellie design team.  I've been with Sugar Nellie almost three years and I've really loved working with their beautiful images, but I've got a lot going on right now and decided it was best to cut back on some of my crafting time.  Karen (the owner) is a fabulous person and if you ever have a chance to try out for her DT, I would encourage you to do so ... I'm sure you would love it too!

On The Wings Of Love

Good morning friends.  Today I'm sharing a Christmas card using one of the latest Sugar Nellie releases.

This lovely fairy is On The Wings Of Love - isn't she a sweetheart?  I love the little birdies flying around with the presents.  I colored her with copics and colored pencils and added lots of Glamour Dust for sparkle.  I also used some Frantage Shabby Blue embossing powder.  I think I need to practice a bit more with the powder.  I added a little poinsettia I diecut with a new Memory Box die and then stamped a sentiment and tucked it into the little kraft sack behind the image.  You can find this fairy and the rest of the Return to Winter Wonderland collection over at Funky Kits.

Gingerbread Cookies

Hello sweet friends!  I'm sharing a Christmas card today using one of my favorite Sugar Nellie stamps from last year's release.

This little cutie is Gingerbread Cookies and she's available over in the Funky Kits shop.  I colored her with copics and then added some extra shading with my colored pencils.  I used Glamour Dust on the star and snow-covered ground.  I wanted to focus on the image itself so I kept my design very clean and simple.  I hope you find some time to get inky today!

Being Together

Good morning to all of you and Happy Thanksgiving to those of you that celebrate this holiday :) 

Today I have a Sugar Nellie card to share.  I have colored one of our newest fairies from the Return to Winter Wonderland collection ... Time Together.  Isn't she a cutie?  Love her sweet face and little outfit!  Of course I colored her with copics and colored pencils.  I added lots of Glamour Dust and pearl dots for plenty of sparkle.  I wanted to be able to mail this card so I didn't add much in the way of embellishments, just a bow and a few gems.  The sentiment is from the Crafty Impressions' Warm Winter Wishes clear set.  You can find all these stamps at Funky Kits.

Sugar Nellie's Return To Winter Wonderland

Happy Saturday friends!  So, have you stopped by the Sugar Nellie Blog to see the beautiful new images in our Return To Winter Wonderland?  Aren't they gorgeous?  I think Karen always does such a fabulous job finding the prettiest fairies for her shop!

Good morning everyone!  First, I want to let you know about our Return to Winter Wonderland release this Saturday.  I know you're going to love the new images so be sure to stop back by to check them all out. 

Today I'm sharing a card using an older Sugar Nellie stamp.  This stamp is called Little Boots and it's from the Home Grown Collection at Funky Kits.  I colored these sweeties with copics and colored pencils.  I love the little doggy boots that she has dangling from her hands.  I figure if my grandson sees this card, he's going to want to pick up some doggy boots for his puppy for the winter :)  I used some older My Mind's Eye papers and then diecut some flourishes and flowers and added some pearls.  The sentiment tag is from Whimsy and I love the little tabs in this collection of sentiments.

Mistletoe

Hello and happy Thursday to all of you.  This morning I'm sharing a Sugar Nellie card I made using  one of my older stamps.  You know, sometimes we just need to get those older images out and show them some inky love too, right?

This adorable image is called Mistletoe ... aren't they just the cutest?  I think this image is so perfect for a couple, young or old, that are celebrating their first Christmas together :)  I colored this image with copics and then added some shading with my colored pencils.  My papers are by Bo Bunny and I cut the layered snowflake from glittery paper and added a pearl to the center.  The sentiment is from an older Stampavie set of sentiments that I've had for a few years.  A very CAS card that can be easily mailed without paying a fortune in postage - perfect!  You can find this sweet image over at Funky Kits.

Happy Thursday dear friends!  Well, this week is almost over and the weekend will be here before we know it.  This has been a rough week so I will be so glad to see the weekend :)  OK, enough complaining from me, right?  I have a new Sugar Nellie card to share and I hope she puts a smile on your face!

Winter Wonders Princess

Good morning everyone!  I have a sweet little Christmas card to share with you today.

This little cutie is Princess and she is from our latest Winter Wonders collection over at Funky Kits.  I colored her with copics and colored pencils and added some Glamour Dust to her crown, flower, and shoes.  I finished this clean and simple card with a bow and some pearls.  I'm hoping the ribbon won't be too bulky as this card will be going through the mail.  The sentiment is from one of my favorite Christmas stamp sets by Papertrey Ink.

Furry Friends' Holidays

Happy Thursday everyone!  The weekend is just around the corner ... and so is Christmas!  So I thought I'd get another Christmas card made to add to my stash. 

This adorable image is Furry Friends and you can find it over at Funky Kits.  This stamp was one of the first Sugar Nellie stamps I ever bought.  I loved it the first time I saw it and I still love it!  I colored these friends with copics and colored pencils and used Glamour Dust on the snow-covered ground and her outfit.  I added some pearl dots with my Pearl Pen and used some of my new Impression Obsession dies to cut out the snowflakes and trees.  The paper is some older BoBunny I had in my stash and the sentiment is by PTI.

This little sweetie is Dolly Pip and she's from the Home Grown Sherbet Pip collection.  I colored this cutie with copics and colored pencils.  I used a doily and ribbon and then fussy cut her so that she looks like she's sitting on top of the ribbon.  I added a few punched flowers with pearls and then tied my sentiment onto the bow with some hemp cording.  You can find this adorable image over at Funky Kits.

A Christmas Wrapped In Joy

This little sweetie is called Elf Made Magic and she is a digi that you can find over in the Funky Kits shop.  I colored her with copics and colored pencils and used lots of Glamour Dust on her and the snowflakes.  Not your traditional Christmas colors but this is one of my favorite color combos and I think it's perfect for Christmas!  The sentiment is from the CC Designs shop.

Winter Wonders Princess

Good morning friends.  I hope you're all enjoying your weekend!  I have a sweet Sugar Nellie card to share today and I've used one of our latest digi images from the Winter Wonders collection.

Happy Friday friends!  Well, we've made it to the weekend ... yeah!  My goal for this weekend is to be creative.  I hope to get lots of coloring and cardmaking done :)

This image is Penguin Party and he's one of the new Winter Wonders digi images from Sugar Nellie.  I colored him with copics and colored pencils and used Glamour Dust on his hat and the snow-covered ground.  I applied Glossy Accents to his beak and foot to give them a little shine, and then added some Liquid Pearls dots along the outside of the image.  The star flourish is a new die I picked up at my LSS and the sentiment is by PTI.  You can find all the adorable Sugar Nellie images over at Funky Kits.

Holiday Greetings

Well, I have made another Christmas card.  I posted one a couple of weeks ago and realized it was my first holiday card for this year.  I am way behind so I thought I'd get one more done and added to my stash.

This lovely fairy is Titania.  Of course you don't have to wait until Christmas to use this image.  She would make a perfect birthday card or a card for other occasions too.  I colored her with copics and colored pencils.  I applied lots of Glamour Dust.  I'm sure whoever receives this card will be seeing glitter for many months lol!  I also used some Liquid Pearls around the image and Glossy Accents on the jingle bells.  I added some lace and a lace flower with a pearl brad.  The hanging snowflake is from a Memory Box die and the sentiment is from Papertrey Ink.  You can find lots of gorgeous Sugar Nellie fairies over at Funky Kits.
