Happy Thursday to all of you! Since it's Thursday that means there's a new challennge over at Meljen's Designs Challenges and Inspiration Blog. The challenge this week is to make something Cold or Snowy.
I used this cute Snow Bunny image for the challenge this week. I colored my image with my copics and Prismacolor pencils and added some Glamour Dust to her hat and the snow for some sparkle and shine. I put some Fluffy Stuff on her tail and puffed it up with my heat embossing gun. I painted some Distress crackle paint around the edges of my dp. I bought that paint months ago and decided I needed to give it a try...yeah, I need some more practice with that stuff LOL! I used various snowflake punches and added some Glamour Dust and pearls to my snowflakes.
Here's Melissa's latest release. Aren't these images adorable? You can find all of Melissa's images over at Whimsy Stamps. I hope you find the time to join us in our challenge this week.

Papertake Weekly Challenge
Happy Tuesday! Today I'm one of the guest designers for the Papertake Weekly Challenge. Their challenge theme this week is -- be thankful -- so you just need to make something that says Thank You. You can get all the details here.
I decided to use a stamp from my new Penny Black Mimi and Miles clear set. I colored Mimi with copics and prismacolor pencils and added Stardust stickles to the heart in her hand and the tiny hearts on her dress. I used my white acrylic paint to add some polka-dots to her yellow jacket. I added a crocheted lace border and made a flower with the lace. I also added some flowers, greenery, and little butterflies with pearls. My tag is tied on with floss.
Be sure to stop by the Papertake Weekly Challenge to see the beautiful work from the other designers. I hope you find some time to play along in their challenge.

Merry Christmas
It's finally here! Can you believe Christmas is tomorrow? My little grandson is so excited and it's so much fun to be around a child that still believes in Santa. I'm glad I live so close to him. I just can't image not being able to spend Christmas with him ... I am truly blessed. Now, do I have any of his gifts wrapped? No...and believe me, since he's the only grandchild, I've got a ton of wrapping to do. So enough blabbering, let's get to my card.
I used Santa's Puppy Helper. Isn't he just the cutest puppy with his little antlers on his head? Hmm, I sure could use his help wrapping gifts today LOL! This is a MelJen's Designs rubber stamp and you can find it at Whimsy Stamps. I used copics and prismacolor pencils to color my image and added a little Stardust Stickles to the jinglebell on his antler and the wrapped candy. Then there's a little Glossy Accents on the candy cane, and the puppy's eyes and nose. I added some ribbon and a bow and tied a few tiny jinglebells onto the bow.
Thank you for stopping by and ...
I would like to wish all of you a very Merry Christmas and a wonderful New Year!

MelJen's Designs - A New Release
Hello peeps! It's Thursday and that means Melissa has a new MelJen's Designs stamp release. You can check out all her fantastic new stamps over at Whimsy Stamps.

Totally Ladybug Tuesday
Happy Tuesday everyone! We have a new challenge for you over at the Ladybug Crafts Ink TLT Challenge Blog. Our lovely Tams chose the challenge this week and she's asking all of us to make cards inspired by a song. For some reason, I was really having a difficult time with this one...until I picked up my new Expecting Nikki stamp. And then I remembered a song by Alison Krauss titled Baby Mine. I think Alison has such a beautiful voice and I love this song. You can listen to it here.
I used my copics and prismacolor pencils to color this image and then gave Nikki some tiny pearl earrings. I added a little touch of Stardust Stickles to her purse and shoes but it's hard to see in this picture. I punched out some greenery with my Martha Stewart branch punch. I used my flower punches and added a little white pearl in the center of each of the flowers. I tied my sentiment with some embroidery floss. Wow, what a beautiful and stylish mom-to-be!
OK, now to the part I'm sure you've all been waiting for...the winners of the Challenge Blog Hop last week. The winner of my blog candy is Amanda R ... congratulations! Amanda, please check in over at the Ladybug Crafts Ink TLT Challenge Blog to find out how to claim your prize. Oh, Christmas Tree
Good morning! I hope everyone had a wonderful and relaxing weekend. I didn't...well, it was a nice weekend but not very relaxing. Had some last-minute shopping to do and omgosh I hate being around the malls at this time of year. The traffic is crazy! Anyway, I did find a little time to work on some cards.
I used Woodland Christmas Tree for my card. The image is by MelJen's Designs and you can find it at Whimsy Stamps. I used my copics and prismacolor pencils to color my image. I used red stickles on the garland and heart, and Glamour Dust on the snow and the two stars. I used a punch for my snowflake and added a button with a floss bow. Very easy card which is exactly what I needed this close to Christmas lol!
Thank you for stopping by. I hope you can find the time to stop by tomorrow for Totally Ladybug Tuesday. We'll be announcing the winners of the blog hop prizes...yay!

Happy Birthday
Good morning to all of you. Yeah...it's finally Friday! Wow, only one more week until Christmas. Are you ready...do you have all your shopping done? Not me, but I figure whatever doesn't get finished in time for Christmas this year will just have to wait until next Christmas LOL!
Anyway, I'm going to be talking about a birthday today. You see, Kerry, the Queen Ladybug of Ladybug Crafts Ink had her29th birthday last week. And you may or may not know it but they also had a MAJOR snowstorm right before her birthday. So of course my card didn't arrive in time for her birthday. But she has finally received it so it's safe for me to show.
I often think those with December birthdays probably get cheated a little KWIM? It's so close to Christmas...so are their birthday gifts combined with their Christmas gifts? ... are their birthday gifts wrapped with Christmas wrapping paper? ... are their birthday cards made with Christmas images? ...oops, sorry Kerry, but I just had to use this image for your card!
Now, I guess it probably seems strange to use a stamp from another company to make Kerry's birthday card, but I was already sending Kerry some LCI cards for her CHA booth. Then I remembered that when I applied for Kerry's DT this past summer I had to send pictures of some of my favorite cards. One of the pictures I sent Kerry was Mavis Builds a Sandcastle. I found out later that Kerry really liked the Mavis card, so I wanted Kerry to have her very own "Mavis"!
Here's the inside of the card before I wrote a little note to Kerry. Well, I just had to finish the inside...nothing but the best for Kerry! And besides, Mary J's habit of beautifully finishing the inside of her cards is starting to grow on me...which is NOT a good thing. I am probably the slowest cardmaker in the world. Honestly, it takes me forever to finish a card. So the last thing I need is to start decorating the inside of my cards lol!
Thank you for stopping by. I hope you have a wonderful and relaxing weekend.

Ladybug Crafts Ink Christmas Blog Hop
Well, today is Tuesday so that means it's Totally Ladybug Tuesday and the start of the LCI Christmas Blog Hop! Our challenge this week was chosen by our Guest Designer, Jovita, and she has chosen the theme of Winter Wonderland.
I used Nikki and Buttercup Building a Snowman for my card this week and colored it using my copics and prismacolor pencils. I embossed my background using the snowflake folder from Cuttlebug's Winter Wonderland embossing set and added stickles and pearls to the snowflakes. I cut mounds of snow and used Glamour Dust and stickles for some sparkle. I used pop dots on my snow mounds to give them some dimension. I don't think the picture really shows how much glitter is on this baby...but believe me, I truly had glitter everywhere lol!
OK, enough about the card. Let's get to the fun ... the Christmas Blog Hop! Since this is the season of goodwill, each DT member will offer a gift for someone to win. That means there are 11 prizes to be won this week, in addition to the regular challenge prize! So, you have two chances to win a prize this week. First, you can enter your card in the Winter Wonderland challenge...and second, you can play along in the hop.
You should have arrived at my blog from Tams' blog. If you didn't, go here to find the order of the blog hop. Make sure that you have our LCI Christmas Blog Hop Banner loaded on your blog. You can copy it from my sidebar if you don't already have it loaded.
As you stop by each blog please leave a comment letting us know you've visited. Each DT member will ask a question. All you have to do is answer the question, taking note of the first letter in your answer. These letters will spell a word. When you've finished the hop, email the word to lcichallengeblogspot@aol.com. Here's a little clue...the word is related to Christmas. You can play along even if you don't have a blog.
And, my question is ... what is the color of Santa's suit?
Here is the blog candy I will be giving away. It includes a Cuttlebug embossing folder, a 24-pack of 6x6 Daisy D's papers, two Martha Stewart tinsel glitters, Colorbox metal accents adhesive flowers, and the Hero Arts Sparkle Clear Cupcakes stamps with gems.
Thank you for stopping by. I hope you have fun on the hop and good luck!
The next blog you want to visit is Pinky.

I cut mounds of snow and used Glamour Dust and stickles for some sparkle. I used pop dots on my snow mounds to give them some dimension. I don't think the picture really shows how much glitter is on this baby...but believe me, I truly had glitter everywhere lol!

Good morning everyone! Today is Totally Ladybug Tuesday and that can only mean one thing...we have a new challenge for you over at the Ladybug Crafts Ink TLT Challenge Blog. Our challenge was set by Gaelle this week and she asked us to use pearls on our projects.

Just Cute Bears and Friends
Good morning. I hope you are all enjoying your weekend! Today we have a new challenge for you over at Just Cute Bears and Friends Challenge, and the challenge is...Anything But A Card.
I made a tissue box cover using Mavis Wearing Holly by Stamping Bella. Is this not just the cutest kitty you've ever seen? I'm usually more of a dog lover, but when I saw this image, I just had to have it! There are more adorable Mavis images and you can check them out over at Stamping Bella. I got the pattern for the tissue box cover from Diane Zechman at Paper Cookies. If you want to see lots of other beautiful projects, be sure to check out her blog.
I colored my image with copics and prismacolor pencils and added some Glamour Dust and stickles for some holiday sparkle. I also added some Glossy Accents to her little nose. I used the snowflake embossing folder from the Cuttlebug Winter Wonderland set and added the red scallops using my Martha Stewart doily lace punch. I had a Martha Stewart punch that I used for my leaves and then added some pearls for the berries (on the lid).
Thank you for stopping by today. Please be sure to stop by the Just Cute Bears and Friends Challenge so you can check out all the beautiful projects by the talented DT! This will be our last challenge for 2010 and it will remain open until January 1, 2011. I hope you can find some time to join us.

Yummy Cocoa
Hello peeps! Today I used an image by MelJen's Designs called Penguin's Cocoa. Isn't that penguin just the cutest thing? He actually looks warm and toasty sitting there with his mug of yummy cocoa. He's one of the images in MelJen's Designs latest release, which you can find here.
I used my copics and prismacolor pencils to color this image. The "Let it Snow" sentiment is a freebie from Melissa and you can find it here. I added some snowflakes with pearls and used Glossy Accents on his beak and feet and on the cocoa, too. I sprinkled Glamour Dust on his hat and the snowflakes for some sparkle.
Be sure to stop by the MelJen's Designs Challenge and Inspiration Blog to check out all the beautiful cards made by the talented DT. We also have a new challenge for you...it's the sketch that I used on my card. I hope you find time to play along with us this week in our challenge.

Holiday Redbird
Happy Wednesday! Can you believe it's December already? Wow, the time is just flying by and I really need for it to slow down. I have most of my Christmas shopping done...yay! But there are so many other things I wanted to make before Christmas and I'm running out of time. But I did manage to get another Christmas card made.
This image is by MelJen's Designs and it's called Holiday Bird. This image is a freebie, can you believe that? You can go here to print a copy. I colored the image with my copics and prismacolors. I used stickles on the star and my Stardust pen on the swirls for some Christmas sparkle. I used some pearls to decorate the corners and added a bow and a pretty little red flower to finish it off. This was a very easy and quick card.

Totally Ladybug Tuesday's Color Wheel
Good morning everyone! Today is Totally Ladybug Tuesday and that means we have a new challenge for you over on the Ladybug Crafts Ink TLT Challenge Blog. Caz, our guest DT member for November, chose our challenge this week and she picked the color wheel. She asked that we design a card using the color that is opposite our favorite color on the color wheel...hmm, have I confused you yet?
My favorite color is red so when you look at the color wheel, green is on the opposite side of the wheel. So I had to use green for my card today. The image I used for my card is that cute little Cheeky Jack, and you can find him here. I used my copics and prismacolor pencils to color my image and used Glossy Accents on his tongue. I added a button with a twine bow...I figured since the bow was from twine it would be OK for a boy's card. I have such a hard time making male cards. If I can't add ribbon, lace, flowers or glitter, then I really struggle with the finishing touches lol! I added some brads and my sentiment and my card was finished. This is what I call a clean and simple card...no frills or frou-frou (is that really a word?)
Now, be sure you stop by the Ladybug Crafts Ink TLT Challenge Blog to see what the amazing DT has created this week. If you joined us last week for Michele's sketch, thank you! I hope you'll be able to join in our challenge this week, too...there's a chance to win a prize.
During the month of December, Kerry is offering a Buy One - Get One 1/2 price sale. And if you buy two stamps, you get two at 1/2 price. If you've been wanting to treat yourself to some new LCI stamps for Christmas, now is the time. I mean, think about it...you pick out and order your own stamps and you know you're gonna love that Christmas gift! It's one size fits all and no standing in a long line to return something you don't like, right? You can check out all of the Ladybug Crafts Ink stamps here.

Little Robbie
Happy Monday to all of you. Today I have a card with a Whipper Snapper image. I absolutely love Whipper Snapper stamps...they are so adorable. I bought this cute little stamp last year and I'm just now getting around to making it into a card. Yes, I am sooo slow lol!
I colored my image with Prismacolor pencils and gamsol. My papers are BoBunny (from last year). I am almost out of this dp and I wish I could find more...it's one of my favorite Christmas papers. I love the color combo and the big snowflakes and polka-dots. I used my Martha Stewart doily lace punch and added some ribbon and a glittered snowflake. I applied stickles on the snow, greenery, and the berries. My sentiment is from PTI.
Thank you so much for stopping by.
