Your Next Stamp - May Release and Blog Hop

Good evening everyone!  I'm so happy you joined us for the Your Next Stamp May release blog hop!  We have lots of fun stamps and dies for you this month and I know you're going to love them!  The entire release is available now in the YNS Store.

Make sure you hop around to all of the blogs featured in the link list located at the bottom of this post for inspiration using the new products!  Also remember to leave a comment on all of the blogs for a chance to win a YNS Gift Certificate!

For my first card I used Word Critters Collection - Gardening Birds.  I fell in love with this set as soon as I saw it!  The birdies and other images are so cute and I love the sentiments too.  I used the Stitched Rectangle Die to cut my white cardstock and then I used the Peek A Boo Window Die to cut the opening.  I sponged some green and blue inks on my card base inside the window opening.  I colored all the images with copics and cut them out using the coordinating dies.  I used Glossy Accents on the water in the birdbath and then I added a few sparkly Magical Pastel and Hey Baby gumdrops to finish my card.

My second card features the Little Notes stamp set.  I love this set too!  I absolutely adore the sentiments and you can make some quick and easy cards to send to all those special friends to let me know you're thinking of them!  I used the Stitched Rectangle Die to cut the plaid pattern.  I stamped the notebook paper on Neenah cardstock and used the coordinating dies to cut everything out.  I added some Magical Pastel and Ocean Mist glittered gumdrops.  I even finished the inside of the card with a scrap of the plaid paper and the cute little sun that's included in this stamp set!

Karen is offering 20% off your entire purchase from May 1st through May 5th!  Be sure to stop back by the YNS Blog on May 4th for even more inspiration with the new release stamps and dies!

Thank you for hopping along with us!  Don't forget to leave a comment at each stop.  The hop ends May 3rd at 12 midnight EST.

Hugs, Anita

Sunny Studio Stamps Guest Designer

( ** Please scroll down for my Your Next Stamp May Sneak Peek post ** )

Good afternoon everyone!  I've got some fun cards featuring Sunny Studio Stamps to share today.  I was so excited when Mendi, the owner of Sunny Studio Stamps, asked me to be a guest designer using her adorable stamps!

I used the Island Getaway stamps to make my first two cards.

Isn't this little monkey in her bikini too adorable?  Love her!  I colored all the images with copics and then cut them out using the coordinating Island Getaway dies.  For my background, I cut a piece of watercolor paper with a stitched rectangle die and sponged on distress inks.  I flicked on some clean water, let it set a few seconds, and then used a paper towel to blot off the water.  I popped up all the images with foam dots and added a few sequins for some sparkle.

I decided to go with quick and easy for this card!  I stamped those cute flip flops on Neenah cardstock, colored them with copics, and then cut them out using the coordinating dies.  I also used the tiny flower stamp from this set to decorate the flip flops.  I used my Wink of Stella clear glitter pen to give the flowers a little bit of sparkle.  I used some bright and fun pattern paper and added a few coordinating enamel dots.

I used the Fresh & Fruity stamp set and the coordinating dies to make the next two cards.

I love all the different fruits included in this set and the sentiments are perfect for so many different types of cards!  I colored all the fruit with copics and cut them out using the coordinating dies.  For the background, I cut a piece of watercolor paper with a stitched rectangle die and applied distress ink and water for a splash of color.  I adhered the fruit with foam dots and then finished with some sparkly sequins.

Once again I colored all the fruit with copics and cut them out using the coordinating dies.  I used foam dots to adhere the fruit to stitched squares backed with green cardstock.  I wrapped some baker's twine around the top of the card and tied a bow.  This was another quick and easy card to make but I think it will surely bring a smile to the recipient's face, right?

Please stop by the Sunny Studio Blog and have a look at all the gorgeous and inspiring projects that Mendi and her DT have posted.  You'll find lots more inspiration for not only the set I used, but all her other amazing sets too!  It's such a fun and cheerful place to visit, I promise!

Thank you Mendi for inviting me to do this guest spot!

Thanks so much for stopping by.  I hope you have a wonderful weekend.

Hugs, Anita
